    Does anyone know of an example where this is false: A data set where the min is less than the mean which is less than the max? What type of data set is this?

    Thanks

    I think that would only apply to a set in which all the elements are the same.

    Set: (2,2,2,2,2)

    Minimum=2
    Mean=2
    Maximum=2
    Therefore, that statement is false for this set.

    I am not aware of any other type of set where that statement would be false.
