    I have a 'paid for' version of avast anti virus. It's started spamming all kinds of sh1t - pop up boxes, pc scans, chrome install.
    Anyone else having problems. The obvious thing is to uninstall it but it's sickening to let these b@stards rip you off like this

    theres an option to turn them off

    open avast go to settings -> popups and untick the box

    that should sort you out

    Also, turn on Silent/Gaming mode, and you shouldnt see any popups appearing

    i also run adblock plus and i dont get pop ups.

    With the way Avast f'cks with network connections I wouldnt touch it with a barge pole anyways....

    i find avast one of the best AV product out there

    what network issues?

    are you talking about its stateful packet inspection?
