Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Sounds like it might be locked to emobile...where did you buy it?

If he told you it was unlocked he was spoofing. It's too late now, but always try your sim when buying a phone.

ok so the phone was actually on the ee network in the uk. i have seen on irishgsm that it can be unlocked for 55euro. Is this the best thing for me to do?

Plenty of sellers on eBay.co.uk that unlock EE iPhone. Cheapest about £26 so you can save a few € and do that yourself. Same as using whatever you mentioned all they need is the IMEI and then you wait a few days. No need to send the phone anywhere.
I hope for you that's the only problem though, seems a bit strange you bought a phone on donedeal and the seller failed to mention its locked to a UK network. Hope it's not barred (as in stolen or reported lost)

If it is barred it will only be barred in England.

so does that mean there is no need for me to complete a blacklist check as it wont matter anyway for use in ireland?

No it shouldn't but it's only a few euro for the check.
