Hi there, looking to build a PC for about €1000-€1200 that will be able for a 3 monitor setup. Do a fair bit of video editing and like to have a couple of screens for that and an extra screen for distractions! (watching movies, surfing net etc). I have the screens but am a bit clueless as to what video card and motherboard I would need that would support 3 displays. Not looking to play games across the 3 screens, not sure if that makes a difference or not?

    1. What is your budget? 1000-1200

    2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? Video and Photo Editing, Some Gaming (prob not much to be honest).

    3. Do you need a copy of Windows? No

    4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? Keyboard and mouse

    5. Do you need a monitor? No, I have the 3 monitors.

    6. Do you need any of these peripherals? No

    7. Are you willing to try overclocking? No

    8. How can you pay? Card, transfer, paypal etc.

    9. When are you purchasing? ASAP

    10. If you need help building it, where are you based? No

    Xeon 1231v3 €250
    Board €90
    Crucial BX100 €90
    1tb HDD €50
    Nanoxia DS3 €70
    500W PSU €55
Crucial Ballistix Sport 16gb RAM €100

Loads of overhead for a good card. What inputs do your monitors have?

Thanks, just turned them upside down and all three have VGA and DVI ports (no HDMI or display inputs). One is a 1920 by 1080 and the other 2 are 1680 by 1050.

DVI-D or DVI-I? Awkward enough setups, I'll have to look for a card later

Trade ya the 1920 for another 1050 :p

Haha thanks, somehow I think you'd get better use out of it than me!! DVI-D
