Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

The Villa back 5 have performed miracles to keep this scoreless.

No help from anyone else bar Delph.

    Richardson doing his bit too

Grealish got lucky again with a bad touch

    God no.
They were always on back in the 80s and 90s.

Am I right in thinking the last time the FA Cup final was shown on Irish TV (RTE) was 1998? That was incidentally also Shay Given vs Arsenal! He's been around a long time has Shay to be fair.

Most ridiculous freekick for a handball I think I've ever seen. How was that hand to ball.

Arsenal keeper in no mans land.

The hand stoped the ball going to a villa player and directed to an arsenal player in the box. Had to give it really.

    Given in no-man's land.

How is that a free kick in fairness? Grealish didnt do anything.

Only a matter of time before arsenal score. Its not a good game villa aren't really in it.

Grealish having a bit of a mare

I'd be taking Grealish off at half time. Kid is getting absolutely destroyed and Villa might as well be playing with 10.

    Cue goal I suppose. :pac:

Really ? I'm enjoying it. I'd enjoy it more with an Arsenal goal tho

Game needed that, Villa would of been of fortunate to have made it to half time without conceding.

    Giroud would of ballooned that.

Good goal, thought Given might have done better.

Get a second before the break and it'll do us nicely.

Yeah id prefer it to be a bit closer - more of a ding dong battle but other than a few minutes where villa looked good its been pretty much all arsenal.

    Great finish by theo

He seen it late. Walcott was covered by the defender for much of the flight of the ball.

Ball was in the air a long time before shot. Top keeper stops that for me.

Arsenal are so, so good to watch when they're on it.

Brilliant from Ozil. He's having a great game

John Motson has predicted whoever scored first would lose, can't see his prediction coming true so far, Villa just can't keep hold of the ball long enough to relieve the pressure.

Some nice passes by Ozil there

Dunno how people can criticise Given there, 2 defenders completely block his view.

Great to see Walcott scoring again when played up top

Second half I hope we keep going as we are. Another goal early in second half will kill Villa off.

    1-0 to the Arsenal!

Disappointing final so far. Too one-sided. Not that the Arsenal fans will be complaining. I know I wouldn't if I were in their shoes.
