Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Bring Jack and Ox on now, let them experience the final!

A very poor final. Well done to Arsenal though. You can only play against what's put in front of you. And today that has been a substandard Villa side.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,500 ✭✭✭Drexel

Hope we knock 5 or 6 past them

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,561 ✭✭✭✭CSF

Embarassing performance, at least this will emphasise how much of a shakeup is needed over the summer.

Yes, imagne a premier league team getting to the final. Very poor competition.

Sure Wimbledon won it one year. A joke.

Cliché, but Villa's real final was avoiding relegation which was a great achievement considering how they started the season.

    No shame in this result.

As a neutral I have enjoyed Arsenal's performance and Sanchez's goal was unreal.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,920 ✭✭✭Sugarlumps

Zilch attempts, rectify that at least!

Agreed. No entertainment in this at all, as a contest. Sanchez's goal was a blinder, but that's about the only good thing to come out of the game so far.

Danny Murphy's accent is very similar to Mark Lawerson?

We certinly didn't do it. We beat Stoke in 2011, then lost to Wigan (Wigan, FFS) two years later.

Didn't United beat Arsenal with no shots on target this season?

    Grealish getting 90 minutes

Sanchez has some energy. Brilliant player.

I expect plenty of performances like this from villa next season. My own team, but I'd back the for relegation at this stage. At least if we cant score, we should try and defend better to give us some hope

Would like to see a couple of subs. Detect a lack of energy out there atm

Ramsey is pinging some super balls up top this half. Hope one converts into a goal.

Extremely harsh, Sherwood did very with Lambert duds overall, you'd like to think he can do better when given a chance to put his own mark on the squad.

    Walcott off for Giroud

    Ozil off for Wilshere

    Terrible decision

Moss has given nothing Villa's way. Obviously that's not the reason for the result but nonetheless.

We were denied a penalty for handball. It's not the one way traffic you make it out to be.

    Terrible decision

Yeah it was an obvious foul. He's not a good ref

Ozil got rugby tackled in the box earlier too

Obvious in an action replay from a different angle.

Grealish made the most of the smallest of contact.

    Delighted he didn't get it.

If you don't think that's a penalty, you're either really biased or really stupid.

I think he's a gooner, so I'll be charitable and say the former!

Where was the contact that made him go down as hard as he did.

You're accusing me of being biased when you were the one who was complaining about the referee not giving a penalty for a foul outside the box.

    Giroud wraps it all up.
