Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

very quiet in Galway not much been said about them thats when they are at their best, they are missing a few but i think they could nick a win on sunday. in saying that Dublin hurl great in the league blew limerick off the field in croker and threw away the game again cork, this is 50/50 but we could see Galway on a good day.

Fifty fifty. I'd just give the nod to Galway.

As is always said about them: It depends on which Galway shows up. They'll fancy their chances, but Dublin do seem to be on the up, so Dublin may just shade it. It could be a very good game.

Dublin just have a notch over this particular Galway side. Fear for the lack of pace up top.

I don't see how this match is rated 50/50 by most observers, pundits and bookies. Galway being hugely overrated I feel. Dublin to win handy enough and I think Dublin -1 in the handicap betting at 6/5 is like finding money on the street

Lack of pace all round. Wet day may suit Galway perhaps.

Ticket van is generally behind tbe entrance to Hill 16.

Hard to cal this one. Galway have far more skill, but may not have the stomach for it. I'll still reluctantly go for Galway by about 5/6 points.

I think Dublin to win, going by this year so far. Galway being down Cooney is a big loss, the Burkes to a lesser extent, so it's up to Glynn, Flynn and Mannion to really step up today as they have the ability. I wouldnt have Canning on the edge of the square v Kelly, I think Kelly is the best full back in the country and he could negate Canning influence, I think at 11 on Crummy would be better. I think Tannion on Rushe would be a concern as Tannion has always been his guy to hurl his own game.

Big game for Dublin and Cunningham to see build on their good league form. Looking forward to seeing Schutte, he looked excellent in the league. But I think his striking of his right is a bit questionable and can be marked. Dublin could really do with him developing into a top forward.

If Galway win by 10 points I wouldn't be surprised.

If Dublin win by 10 points I wouldn't be surprised either.

Pattern on the grass is distracting.

Galway far more impressive so far.

Good goal, the Dubs cant get their key men up front in the game. The backs are struggling too, most notably Keaney on Donnellan.

Massive response by the Dubs to the Galway goal.

The Galway goal has seemed to wake Dublin up

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,115 ✭✭✭Boom__Boom

Canning not getting on any sort of ball.

And put Galway to sleep - only scored 1 point since then

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

    How did he miss that

If an U10 player missed that you'd be annoyed

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,115 ✭✭✭Boom__Boom

Dublin fairly lucky there to avoid conceding another goal.

Dublin have outscored Galway 0-7 to 0-1 since the goal went in.

Galway should have had about 3 frees there. Ref ingored them all.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,948 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

Coen is getting torn apart in the corner

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 25,834 ✭✭✭✭Strumms

Hope the ref doesnt have a negative impact on this one.. missing a lot of obvious fouls and pulling up some borderline stuff...

  • Registered Users Posts: 120 ✭✭alphasully

Dublin's 16th man doing a good job for them so far

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,246 ✭✭✭✭Dyr

Dublins handling is poor again, keep running towards the pass at speed and leaving the sliotar behind

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 15,238 ✭✭✭✭Diabhal Beag

Coen has to be subbed at this stage. Being torn asunder by Schutte.

Donnellan has been excellent and shows no rustiness at all in comparison to Cooney and Harte in midfield.

Canning's miss was something else but there could be 3 Galway goals on that scoreboard. A guy like Niall Healy will win a tight game like this for Galway.

Dublin's FB line is as dodgy as our own.

Canning doesn't seem to be moving all that well. Have a feeling he's carrying an injury of some type.

Galway 1st goal @ 2.20, Surely an error...

    Lovely score from mannion

Bit of a funeral home atmosphere.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,115 ✭✭✭Boom__Boom

    Fairly scrappy stuff now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,579 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

Dublin should be much further ahead here

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,384 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

Galway have missed so many goal chances. Could easily have at least 3 on the board by now.

Could this ref be any more biased

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 15,238 ✭✭✭✭Diabhal Beag

    Some fairly poor refereeing here.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,948 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

Do they not bother to practice the art of pulling on the ****ing ball? Jesus christ.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,384 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

Another goal chance for Galway. Got a point out of it at least this time.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

Galway backs well on top now. Rushe has been anonymous

Galway must surely create the most goal chances over the course of a season and miss the most!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,115 ✭✭✭Boom__Boom

Did Marty just say "energetical" ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,384 ✭✭✭✭Utopia Parkway

    Another soft free.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,151 ✭✭✭letowski

Very evenly matched game. Galway have spurned most oppertunities i think. I think its destined for a draw.

If it doesn't end up a draw, whoever wins it should consider themselves fairly lucky.

    Cannot touch Rushe apparently.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,948 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

Oh for god sake. Galway are so frustrating to watch!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,458 ✭✭✭✭dastardly00

I think a draw is probably a fair result.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,948 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

That was fortunate. He turned in to them and tried to charge.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,948 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

Why is Joe Canning taking that? He should be in there swinging the hurl.
