    Hi everyone,

quick question for you fellow writers, I'm working on a non fiction book currently, do I write the whole thing before sending it to a publisher or can you send a few sample chapters while I work on the rest of the book? thanks in advance :)

For Fiction I think it needs to be fully complete and the best as you can make it.

For non-fiction it's not as important to have it fully completed.

    Other important factors...

    Are you famous?
Do you have a unique take on the zeitgeist?
Do you have a kiss and tell story?
Do you have a niche story catered to by a specialist publisher?
    Have you previous publishing history?

If you have a very interesting story the publisher might suggest a ghostwriter to help you.

You might want to research some publishers that are known for publishing in your non-fiction area and make contact with them.

a bit, I have a disability that's well know but quite misunderstood, in the book I tell what life was like, some of the challenges I faced and how I overcame them
have round about half way of story done, haven't approached any publishers as of yet
no previous history of publishing, first time :o

    thanks for that :)

So, your market would be those with the disability and their family members.

If it's a common enough disability then you could be onto a winner. Less so if it is rare.

    Good luck!
