    Hi, any recommendations for somewhere nice for a day outdoors such as beaches or parks that are not far from city center? Dont mind if it isn't a famous tourist spot and prefer somewhere easily reachable on public transport or by walk from center. Thanks!

    Salthill is the only city beach. It is a famous tourist spot, though. About a 20-30 minute walk from the city centre, or catch the 401 bus.

    Silverstrand is a beach just outside the city - across the road and down a bit from Barna Woods - same map applies.
