That goal has finished the match off if you ask me.

    Who got Tipp's second point?

    Bill Maher I think

One on one like that it should be a goal

They're starting to make a game of it now

    Tipp will win this

Limerick have been very wasteful. Might rue that slack play

It was Willie Connors who was then bizarrely taken off even though McCarthy and Shanahan have been measurably worse.

You'd fancy Tipp to drive on for the win now with the breeze at their backs. Limerick will be annoyed at giving up those 2 goals close to half time though. Colin O'Riordan just exudes class regardless of the code he's playing.

Ah ffs... Comfortable lead completely blown.

Limerick back line is awful, balls coming in and there's barely anyone back there... Tipp have had far too many open sights of goals, Limerick had to work harder for theirs.
The most important thing after going 10+ up would be to flood the backline and keep a clean sheet.

Funny to think that with that first goal Tipp scored more in a split second than they had in about the first twenty-five minutes of the match.

Wise guy eh? Limerick had just scored something like 2-07 and Tipp had scored 2 points after about 25 minutes. If you thought that looked competitive then I hope you're enjoying your first time watching a hurling match.

I've never seen a team who got 12 up giving such a bad performance.

2 points in 20mins since leading by 12.

Awful soft two yellows. Pretty harmless challenges.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,467 ✭✭✭Very Bored

Terrible performance by both. Not a patch on yesterday's match.

Intensity yes but the same level of excitement.

Limerick loosing most 50/50 balls now

now we have a game of hurling - level-pegging

My god.. Again all they had to do was hold out a goal and a man runs from out the pitch unopposed.

Its like Tipp have 5 extra.

Not one Limerick forward can win a ball.

And as I write again they stroll in.

I forgot completely about this, what aws the Limerick fella sent off for?

Great leadership from Lynch there to get the ball in midfield.

How many Maher's are playing ?

Tipp have had some shocking wides the last few minutes

Probably more exciting in some ways. If I recall last night correctly, this is closer later on. That said, I think this one following on from last night which was a great match feels a small bit of a disappointment. If it were a week later it would probably be that bit more enjoyable.

Two attempted block downs or attempted interceptions where he hit the opponents helmet. Very unlucky IMO. Minimal force and no malice at all.

Hope Limerick can hold on so we have them at home for the final

3 wides in a row for Tipp - not looking good now

Second yellow was for a 'tap' on the Tipp lad; same force as a fly landing on you. Terrible decision by the ref.

Two soft frees. Probably should have received a yellow for the two of them rather than two each.

Another sending off, looks like another final in Ennis :D

And that should be that. Now that was a definite yellow and then red.

Lovely stuff. Final in Ennis now :)

Two massive favourites in Waterford and tipp gone :)

Good win for Limerick. Disappointing from a Tipp point of view, some poor wides in the second half. Unreal save from the Limerick keeper though at one point.

Hated seeing Cian Lynch run into the corner to waste time there, hate that sort of thing in hurling, leave that to soccer.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,115 ✭✭✭Boom__Boom

Keeper gets MOTM despite conceding 3 goals - says a lot about the Limerick defending.

Either side could have won it down the stretch.

    Fair play Limerick.

    Two merited sending offs

    Both were terrible decisions
    Awful, awful performance by Tipp

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,467 ✭✭✭Very Bored

Exciting enough I suppose but the quality was lacking from both. Limerick would want to seriously step it up before they play Clare. To be honest, I think Tipp paid the price for such a hames of a start.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,704 ✭✭✭citykat

Merited win for LK. In fairness they didn't let a poor decision kill them. Two great saves from the goalie at crucial times also.

At least he won't miss the final.

Didn't see the first yellow for the Limerick lad but regardless of force he did hit the Tipp lad a slap of the hurl for the second yellow, certainly a yellow.

Neither will the Limerick centre back, and John Meaghers red it could be argued cost Tipp an AI.

He deserved it for stupidity alone, pulling like that when already on a yellow was terrible.

Limerick deserved to win that, fair play to them. That save from Maher was one of the best I've seen in a while. Tipp's touch and shooting was abysmal and you'd wonder why Connolly was promoted from selector to manager. There won't be many off that Tipp team that'll make seniors.
