Hi Curious George,
Thanks for your query.
For in-ceiling speakers, we would recommend the Monitor Audio CT165 at £105/€129.
http://www.richersounds.ie/p-11974-ct165.aspx
For the surround sound, as this usually comprises of 5 speakers, do you already have a centre speaker?
If you need the full system there are a few options you could look at:
Tannoy TFX 5.1 system for a small discreet satellite package at £199/€259
http://www.richersounds.ie/p-12034-tfx-51.aspx?swapstore=1
Wharefdale DX1 package - larger sat speakers which sound fantastic at £249/€369
http://euro.richersounds.ie/p-11539-dx1-hcp.aspx?swapstore=1
or if you want a higher level, and stunning sounding system
Monitor Audio MASS 5.1 system at £599/€849
http://euro.richersounds.ie/p-200190-mass-51.aspx?swapstore=1
Have a look at the above, and if you have any other queries, or something else on our site grabs your eye, give me a call/PM and I'll have a look at it for you
Thanks

Hi Curious_george,
I have a couple of options for you on the speakers firstly, if you're wanting to keep the budget down a little.
We have a Pioneer speaker package S-HS100 at £99.95/€149.95 - http://www.richersounds.ie/p-11012-s-hs100.aspx
or for a bit of a step up from that
The JBL Cionema 510 package at £149.95/€269.99 - http://www.richersounds.ie/p-200854-cinema-510.aspx
With regards to the ceiling speakers, I have checked and they also do an installers pack of 5 at £176/€251 for the pack if that is of any interest? Its exactly the same speakers, but they come packaged in one box rather than individually boxed
As far as the TVs go, there is a cracking deal on at the minute, while stocks last, on the Panasonic TX50as500 at £399/€599.
50" 1080p full HD, freeview HD, wifi/wired networking for all your apps, web browser, streaming music and video from NAS/USB/web/smartphone

Have a look at the above and let me know your thoughts
Cheers

Can you tell me the difference between the TX-50A400B, TX50as500 and the TX50as6000
-
Hi Curious,
The 50a400 isn't a model we would stock but the main difference in it is that its not a Smart TV whereas the other 2 models are, so has no wifi/streaming capabilities
The Main differences between the AS500 and AS600 are
The AS600 has Freetime built in - Panasonics own TV listing/Catch-up service which the 500 doesn't
The As600 also has a dual core processor which speeds up the processing time for all the smart/multimedia/control functions, which again the 500 doesn't
The 600 also has an extra HDMI and USB input over the 500
See comparison here - http://euro.richersounds.ie/prodcompare.aspx?pid1=200447&pid2=200444
Both models are currently available to ship from stock, so if you're interested in either, or have any further questions, drop me a post/PM and I'll get back to you
Cheers

Hi Brian, getting back onto the speakers. I'm wondering if its all wired right for ceiling speakers. I have 4 points in the ceiling, each cable returns to a point behind the TV. Thats it.
What is needed ? I had assumed 4 ceiling speakers. What is needed to connect the wires to a bluetooth receiver and to the TV. re bluetooth, I wanted to be able to play music of any device via bluetooth.

Seems they are wired correctly. The 4 in-ceiling speakers will act as you front left and right and your two rears. Wired back to a central point where the amp will be situated.
You would also require a center speaker for 5.1. The center speaker is important as it does the vocal section of the 5.1 setup.
The sub woofer makes up the .1, this runs out a different type of cable. A single phono cable.
Something like the Cambridge 7.5m priced at 27.99 Euro
http://euro.richersounds.ie/p-10538-aud100-75m-sub-cable.aspx
A subwoofer is non directional and can be placed almost anywhere in the room.
For a bluetooth receiver you could look at the Denon AVRX520 priced at 299.99 Euro.
http://euro.richersounds.ie/p-201463-avrx520bt.aspx
Or you could purchase any 5,1 receiver
and add the Harmon Kardon BTA10 which is priced at 69.99 Euro
http://euro.richersounds.ie/p-12026-bta10-bluetooth.aspx
I hope this is of help.
Any further questions please let me know.0 -

I would not install my amp behind the TV as it needs to be in view for the remote to work.
Normally the amp would go on a cabinet under the TV or beside the TV.
The amps usually are all in and and around the same size. Usually around 434mm (W) x 339mm (D) x 167mm (H)
However it is better just to check to be sure. Dimensions are listed with all products on our website under - Specifications - General - Dimensions.

The center speaker is usually positioned below the television or just above it (mostly below). This is then wired back to the amp.0
