    my family are giving me a headache, my folks have been asking if I would come up to their house as they are leaving early tomorrow and I'm dog sitting for 4 days. I said no at first because I wasn't feeling well, but I eventually came round to the idea, while mentally preparing myself for the comments 'you've put on weight' 'Eat plenty of vegetables, fruit' etc. I just got packed up there and got ready for someone to collect me. While I was waiting, I got a call from sis who says I don't have to go up to the house, as it make more sense if I met her in town tomorrow and then get the bus to Cahir with her rather than go to folks house, go to town, and then head for Cahir to see granny. Make your mind up ffs!

    true, I'm glad she called as I know if I went up to them I would have burst into tears with their comments, lectures etc. Don't mind me, letting off stream there

    ATC have you ever said it to them to just stop commenting? I know they're your parents but you've got your own life.

    I have a few times yeah, they usually don't take much notice. They normally say 'we know best' or something like that
