Yeah seemingly everything will be rounded up or down, so stuff that's €1.99 will more than likely be €2. Most shops will probably round up.

So I heard Shim. In a way they're kinda annoying especially if you end up with a load of them. Not many shops like you offloading them too.

Big Zinc refuses to let the 1 cent coin disappear from circulation in the U.S.A.. I wish I was kidding about that.

    Why is that?

I think it's a good idea. According to the article I read earlier they actually cost more to make than they're worth. A 1c coin costs 1.6c to make.

They use zinc to manufacture the U.S. penny. Without pennies, Big Zinc loses big bucks.

I lived an interesting life for many years. Then I couldn't get out of bed for fifteen minutes when I was 23.

If we were able to go back to the Irish pound it'd be great.

Oh I disagree, I love being a part of the Euro. The annoyance of having to change money for travel or shopping is a massive pain!

Well yes, it did, but that's €25.40 when converted to new money yet it isn't adjusted for inflation :)

It's still enough for a bottle of Buck, sure what more could you need? :D
