Not to correct ya Zimmer but it's Bayston Hill, not Hall. It's the 3.25 at wolves if anyone is searching for it.

yep and now the other accounts have come in, cheers Zimmer!

Stewards reversed the result! Didn't get to see the race but there's a lot of happy punters with that result! Good call Zimmer!!!!

Interview with Steward now and reversed due to interference inside last half furlong!

Stewards must have lumped on the Fav :pac:

(Winner jinked right when you see the head on camara)

I was posting from memory and under time pressure so put in Hall instead of Hill and of course I also said the nag was 3 times 3rd when of course it was 3 times 2nd,any way one looks at it one is lucky to get it in the stewards room though the horse would have won without without being leaned on.

It was a weak race and I would not put any of them in my notebook.

Had Mayasa @8/1 in 5:55 W'H'Ton (sorry but no wi-fi in P.Powers to post to boards - Was tipped by Templegate, GG.COM & Daily Xpress & ATR) - won well.

Anyway putting 2 total outsiders small E/W bets on, to finish the day.
    Both runnin @Uttox.

    7:20 The Yank 14/1
8:20 Peal of Bells 20/1.(Fancied in Guardian also)

EDIT : The Bridgewater / Hudson combo just won the 6:20 with Gentleman Moore @25/1 ..... Hopefully the Yank will do something but may ave gone for the wrong Bridgewater /Hudson horse).

ive got a good bet on dolphin village 8:15 Kempton, money has come for it and now its the fave at 3.5, has a good poly record, fast times and now running in a race below the normal grade

I'm sure it was mentioned here.

Just 2 bets for today when most of the day will be spent watching the US Open and screaming on Shane as he tries to win his first major.

Jim Bolgers horses are in fine form and though BRONTIDE has a little to find with Burma Star on their running 71 days ago I believe he will find enough.Bolgers horses were not running so well then so improvement can be expected.

This is a very weak handicap and I backed BRONTIDE ew at 4s,it must be a penalty kick that he will be placed so I am calling it a bet to nothing.

My main bet is LUSTROUS who runs in the 3 40 at Pontrefact.
LUSTROUS was having her first run for her current trainer when 6th of 7 behind Journey in a group 3 at Haydock 3 weeks ago, running ok until fading in the last two furlongs beaten 11 lengths.
BARSANTI from the powerful Varian yard is all the rage for this and is currently around evens.

He may well win but LUSTROUS has run some very good races last seaon and will be a threat to all today.
Paddy Power is giving money back as a free bet if 2nd to the fav but is only 15/2 about LUSTROUS so I had a decent bet ew at 12s in Ladbrokes and I am confident of a very good run.

    zimmer mentioned him toby

I have been waiting for BUCKSTAY to run in the Bunbury Cup 5 10 Newmarket since he ran such a good race in the Wokingham at Royal Ascot over 6 furlongs.

7 furlongs in a big field is ideal for BUCKSTAY and while I am surprised to see the promising apprentice G Wood on board he is still my best bet for SAT.

Drawn 20 of 20 may not be ideal, though high numbers have a good record in this I would rather he be in the midst of rather than at the end.

This race is the target for the 7 furlong specialist and a fairly big ew bet is what I will be having and I fully expect to collect.

In the 4 10 SUEDOIS who might prefer softer ground is worth an ew bet at a big price as he is in excellent form.

The John Smith's Cup is a very big handicap in York at 4 15 and I give AZRAFF a good chance at a decent price, has been running over shorter but gets 10 furlongs and has a good ew chance.
OASIS FANTASY also has a squeak and it would not surprise me if BELGIAN BILL ran a big race in this also.It is very competitive and I would not advise large bets on the race.
ASCOT'S 2 45 is a big sprint always won by a decent horse DESERT LAW was 3rd in this last year and following a good run in Ireland can win this at around 10/1 as he gets in on the same mark and appears to be coming into form

    I like
B FIFTY TWO 33-1 AND GLORY AWAITS 12-1 IN 5.10

B Fifty Two's last two runs over this trip have been really good. Won a grade 3 on soft over this trip last Oct, won easily. Followed that with a great run in 5th in Meydan on fast ground. It's 3 recent races over 6f have also looked good except for its last run when it never got into race from rear of a big field. 33-1 not a true reflection
    I like it EW

Glory Awaits has run in many grade 1's. Drops back to 7f here which should give it a chance. Two decent runs over a mile recently. Short of room last time.

    EW ALSO

A couple of runner ups is all I could manage today SUEDIOS at 25/1 would have ensured a good day. As it turned out the place money helped reduce the losses but still meant the Bookies got a deuce from me today.
But life goes on and I will have a few drinks tonight as usual and this time next week I will be leaving Ripon racecourse after the evening meeting hopefully with bulging pockets.
Have a stable visit planned during my few days in York and I may be able to pick up something of interest while there.
