Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Synopsis:
A single woman who's mistaken for a stranger's blind date, leads to her finding the perfect boyfriend.
    IMDB

OK, OK, don't let the synopsis fool you - it sounds like a terrible romcom, but it isn't, it really isn't.

It stars Simon Pegg and Lake Bell, who does an incredibly convincing English accent.

It's incredibly funny, well written, and with characters that you actually like. Yes, there are parts that are a bit convoluted, but it still is thoroughly enjoyable!

Lake Bell is very underrated, she has great comic timing, good to see in her in a lead film role

Saw this last night as part of the its the oh's turn to choose a film agreement :p i thought id hate it but found it enjoyable. really thought lake bell was good! Good film nice and short, more com than rom. Bit of light hearted fun away from all the over the top american movies in the cinema at the moment

It was actually very funny. Simon Pegg and Lake Bell had great chemistry - they really bounced off each other.

Sean was a great character too and provided some of the bigger laughs.

I have great time for Lake Bell after In A World.

    Seen it last night also.

Liked it but felt it needed a good few more scenes between the two to warrant the ending.

All just felt a bit rushed.

    Liked it nonetheless.

Yep I really enjoyed this, the whole lot of it tbh, for a romcom style story and that it definitly left a nice feeling in your head after watching but not stupid, also loved the whole idea of a london date etc, and seeing a female lead in a romcom who wasnt like everything else youve seen, same with Sean Pegg, very funny and real tbh :)

Will go see it again id say!
