Just curious if anybody knows the answer. Does all correspondence get sent just via post or email too? I have changed address and was wondering what I need to do to update it
    I’m nearly sure both

Won’t change a thing. It’s always been the way. Just in the media more so these days. They are trying to increase July’s class.

Exactly my thinking. Like what’s the problem, why be on the skin of your teeth staff wise and resources wise. The country is booming again and everything is increasing. Why not the fire brigade.
Shouldn’t safety be paramount over everything else

It’s Ireland simple as that. We are needed there’s no question. But if we will be taken it’s another thing. With the extension I can see it being used tho. It’s been a dragged out crap process so far

Couldn’t agree more. Would be typical Ireland to have a panel unused and on the other side staff shortages.
Is it looking fairly definite that the panel will be extended for a year?

    130-140.
Would be hoping to be in next class after July’s but just want to get a call at some stage. Such a shame for everyone left on panel if we didn’t get a crack at it after all the work that was put in to get where we are.

That was a rumour goin around for a while but according to unioun they wont have a junior class leap frog a senior one inregards to medical training it has happened in past but according to unioun it wont that class starting in summer will go a head same as previous class fire training then operational class 1/17 was penciled in for jan 18 as a whole so they due to go back in oct as a whole after all annual leave is done and new recruits operational will relieve the stress of man power to allow for them to go back to obi

That will probably leave 50 approx on the panel with faith unknown . Hopefully they will be the next class in the queue. It's a long wait.

It’s being extended as I’ve said above. That was directly from HR

Just reading back through the forum class 2 received letters about medicals the end of November with a start date of February so assuming class 3 is starting July hopefully we will be getting letters in the coming weeks.

They where fitted for uniform PPE in October. Their first contact from DCC was 5 months prior to start
