Online aptitude test before the supervised aptitude test.

Is online aptitude at time of application or is there a few weeks gap? Cheers

    Go again.
Starting on 41k a year after tax.

That's not a bad starting salary. What does it go up to after say 20 years on the force . Where are you getting your information from ?

So your saying there on over 60k starting off they would need to be on that to get 41k after tax . I know for a fact that is not the salary . Maybe after 20 years service is more believable .

Hi folks, does anyone have a genuine figure in relation to the starting salary.. I understand money shouldn't be a driving force to join dfb but I've bills and 2 young kids to consider before I think about what I want..

So that's 1,900 a month is that just when your training.

That's before tax and before shift allowance

    That’s all before tax.
But what’s not included is your shift allowances/weekend money etc.
    you’ll start on 41k a year.
Moves up the payscales quite fast.

What are the hours during training? Is it Monday to Friday 9-5 sort of thing or do you stay in the college during the week nights?

    Officially 9-5.
But as fire1985 said you’ll be in there a lot longer, more like 7am until 18/1900

No it’s just your basic details required at this stage .

There’s an application form after aptitude test that’ll require more .
