Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

We'll first off they are issue clothing so why would somebody have one on their first day of training? If they were given to you by family why would ya wanna stand out like that on the first day too.

Ahh dont spoil it for us completely! Id love to see someone turn in in a FDNY "Keep back 100 feet" shirt or a DFB t shirt. Cos when everyone is laughing at that person it means they wont be laughing at me!! (Joking of course!)

Try this link. Put HTTP: at the start of the link. I cant upload links yet because my account is new.
Worked for me.....took about a hour to download, started off slow but picked up after half an hour and flew through the rest.
You'll need utorrent or bit lord to download it....I use bit lord myself.

When sending off your application form, for the educational qualifications if you failed English or maths in the leaving, did you still include your leaving results if you passed it in the junior? Or did you leave it out your leaving results?

Regardless of your results, submit your most recent 2nd level qualification and/or 3rd level qualification

You must get at least a grade d in English maths and I think Irish in leaving certain OR at least junior cert. I didn't do my leaving but got the scores required at junior cert level so you should be ok. Maybe call human resources and they may clarify that. ;)

Do you not think it is a bit early to get the DFB crest on your forearm?

Did they re check your educational documents again? I submitted them for interview and got them back. Just wanted to see if they needed them again.

Lads just wondering after training and we begin as full time fire fighters what would the average take home be for a 1st year recruit.

I am also interested in this question - average weekly or monthly including the allowances + extras you would generally get (eg sunday etc.)

Has anyone heard anything further as to whether the paramedic course will be run with the fire training?

With the shortage of FF's out in the stations it's more likely we'll be sent out operational as soon as FF training is done and brought back at a later stage for Paramedic training.

As far as I can remember it was €800 and €1000 rotating fortnightly for your first year.

Lads just HR and they will give you exact figures for wages break down. Better off with the right figures than speculation and guess work here

Very quiet here lately lads/ladies. Any nerves kicking in yet for anyone? I'd be lying if I said there wasn't a mixture of nerves and excitement going on with me
