Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

3-0 up, a beauty of a goal. Rovers surely to Progrès to the next round.

    Well done Rovers.

Ended up very comfortable winners last night but had a dodgy enough start in poor conditions against a physical and decent enough side. Very much missed Mcphail in that period.

Excellent performances from McCabe and Waters.

We still look dodgy in central defence though and really need the Webster /Kenna pairing back or the Norwegians are going to cause us serious problems.

The Odd stadium looks like a proper stadium, seats stacked and four stands to keep the noise in.

Lovely stadium, they're not that big a club thou, I wonder did they inherit that from another club?

Most Norweigan clubs have quality grounds, a classic example of a country with a big interest in the English Premiership that can sustain a decent local league too.

Is it just me or does it annoy the fcuking tits of other LOI fans when someone can make the away game in Europe but not the fcuking home one (they live here).

Always annoys me on away trips...."the fcuk are you" ....."oh i dont go to home games..." Can be spotted by the 90s O neils jersey they wearing.

    hate them fcukers.

Irish people are event junkies. They love a reason for a wee trip.

Good luck to all the Irish tonight, what odds on all teams getting through I wonder?

    9.69/1 with Paddy Power.

Hoare out is a blow for us tonight because if we dont keep a clean sheet we need to score at least 3 to go through in 90 minutes but if we play to our best and dont let them settle into a rhythm we should go through.

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,172 ✭✭✭wadacrack

i fancy Pats to go through from what I saw of the first leg. Desmond played v well I thought when introduced last week so he should start

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 11,441 Mod ✭✭✭✭Hammer Archer

Weather in Luxembourg is a lot more "Irish" than last week which gives us a better chance.
Think we'll get a chance or two this evening and whether we take one or not will probably be the difference between going through or not. Can't see us keeping another clean sheet but if we score, Dudelange need 3.

Dudelange need 3 goals now. That's fantastic work from UCD.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,337 ✭✭✭✭monkey9

Sean Coyne sent off for UCD.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 32,956 ✭✭✭✭Omackeral

Dudelange score on the stroke of half time to make it 1-1. If 10 man UCD can get through the next 45 mins without conceding two goals they'll advance.

EDIT: Holy gick Dudelange with one more before the break. 2-1 now. Squeaky bum time.

    Cock, Dudelange have scored 2.

Whatever happens in the last 30 minutes, fair play to them. They've done much better than most Irish fans expected of them.

Hopefully they can hang in there and get a game against Bratislava.

I really can't see UCD hanging on to this. It'll be some defensive job of the highest order from them.

Anyway, i'm heading off to Inchicore. Come on the Saints!!!

Gone up to 40 shots in the last 4 minutes.

They must have the team bus parked in front of the goal by now.

Those stats are mad, 12 saves to none. 14 blocked shots (I assume saves are included). That's it, the fat lady has sung and UCD are through.
