Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Sterling has quick feet and is almost sexual in his arm movements when on the ball.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,564 ✭✭✭✭whiskeyman

We're playing too many woeful balls from the back to nowhere and losing possession.

    This post is ridiculous.

    This post is pointless.

Mcgoldrick is just a second too slow for this level.

Yeah, it's noticeable. O'Neill said before the game he hasn't played a lot of football which doesn't help.

It's obvious the Irish crowd is going to have a good portion of Premier League club side supporters.Wouldn't be surprised if the Liverpool fans started the booing and Arsenal,Utd fans etc. joined in for the laugh.Rooney got fat bástard chants earlier too.

Sterling getting booed? Must be because the exchange rate is so poor at the moment.

Good chance there for Murphy, he looks sharp and coming off the back of a good season. Definitely gives us a different option up front

McGoldrick is like bambi on ice out there.

Fitness is one thing, actual ability is another. He simply doesn't have it.

Seems like the crowd has decided to just entertain themselves because the football certainly isn't doing it.

Only took 25mins but Irish fans start chant "John Delaney is a wanker" English fans retort with "Sepp Blatter paid for your ground" #IrlEng

    Robbie Brady gives good delivery.

    Shocking effort he must score

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,609 ✭✭✭TheCitizen

    Brady's delivery is top class.

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,325 ✭✭✭RoryMac

Murphy should've got that on target

No chance of a riot today. Keeping the crowd awake could be a bigger challenge. Snoozefest

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 13,224 ✭✭✭✭SantryRed

Why is McGeady on corners at all when Brady can stick a ball in like that on a consistent basis?

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 605 ✭✭✭Lemmy Scott

    Water break?

It's not exactly Qatar out there.

Think its Harry Arter (sp?). Hope it's not James McClean getting another crap tattoo.

You just know Sterling is going to score and I wouldn't blame him if he taunted the Irish fans if he does score.

As an Irish Liverpool fan, I think booing Sterling can only be counterproductive. No good can come of it. It's not even amusing or witty, so they should just drop it and stop embarrassing themselves.

Throw water over the players to wake them up.

I'd tend to agree. If you shutdown the entire area around the ground and make the area a sanitised zone on a Sunday morning for a friendly...of course it will pass off 'successfully'. It's the main way of dealing with troublesome fixtures.

Will bear no reflection to a competitive game.

Yes but it at least removes the tension before any future competitive clashes.

Quick someone give Sterling the ball

Are the adverts beside the goals on the wrong ends of the pitch? They look like they should be the other way around (the 45 degree perspective ads)

  • Registered Users Posts: 330 ✭✭*Hank Scorpio*

Anyone watching ITV? Are they giving England stick? how are they critiqing it so far?

Not a great game but at least we're holding our own. I'd like to see some changes for the second half up front.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,740 ✭✭✭✭MD1990

I think we are playing very well.

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,609 ✭✭✭TheCitizen

Good performance from Ireland, McGeady has been excellent. Play like this and we'll beat Scotland next week. MON should start resting players now, throw on half a dozen subs.

With Westwood in goal today, does that mean that Forde is back down to third in the pecking order?

    If so, its a disgrace
I think Given should be third if he is to kept in the Squad.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,911 ✭✭✭bradlente

For the games sake would like to see England make a few changes, plenty on the park are guaranteed first starters, they don't care and are happy to just not look too bad.Wouldn't mind seeing Houlihan or Long second half,we'll probably get Walters.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 7,466 ✭✭✭blinding

Brady has great delivery from set pieces and open play. Top class.

McGeady has done a couple of very good things and has played well. Very Good.

Otherwise its been a bit of a training game but a goal would change that I suppose.

Andy Townsend has declared for England.
