Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If only international football wasn't a retirement home for mangers. We might see football that looks like something from this century more often.

Are the adverts beside the goals on the wrong ends of the pitch? They look like they should be the other way around (the 45 degree perspective ads)
You're watching on ITV, yeah? Those ads are set up for the camera Setanta are using, ITV's camera is on the opposite side.

I dont get all the people going on how its a snooze fest....its a friendly a week before a massive game for us....its better we take it easy here and next week give it all we got.

Ireland are playing well. At least its no longer the constant hoof ball game we were at the last few yrs. If we can get the midfield to pass forward with more confidence and consistency then we have some hope.

Ireland's set piece delivery so far has been top notch mostly.

Yeah I get your point but It's the entertainment business at the end of the day and this game is so bad (or the first half at least) that it's almost tempting to switch over to the Ulster football match.

A boring 0-0 today followed by a win next week and no one will care how todays game went. And Ulster football is just as boring as the soccer match.........tune in for the Deise win over Cork later....now that will be entertainment :D

Given will cost us a goal on Saturday if he plays. He's not the presence he once was. Not even close.

It would be madness to play him. He had a shocker in the fa cup final and has generally been having a shocker for about 5 years now.

Townsend giving us problems. Walcott will likely do the same.

Sepp Blatter time; we're hanging on.

A legend, but I hope this is the last time we see him in an Ireland shirt. Westwood has to be our first choice goalkeeper for the next few years.

No he didn't. He was probably the only Villa player to emerge from that game with any credit.

This game reminds me of Liverpool in the Champion's League.

    That Sanchez goal was comical.

It went straight into the middle of the goal. His positioning is absolutely terrible. He makes easy saves look like world class saves because he's standing in the wrong place.

Sterling getting booed? Must be because the exchange rate is so poor at the moment.

That would be the Euro's fault tbf

No The ball swerved, even the best in the world would have struggled with that Ranchu.

Pretty dull game in fairness. Don't think any keeper was tested to any great extent.

At least we didn't get beaten and it doesn't look there are any injuries, so hopefully it will stand us in good stead for the real big one against the Scots.

Not a chance, the ball swerved but that brought it back closer to Given, he should have stopped it.

Awful match to be fair. We played well but I just don't see us doing much really with what we got in the remaining games.

That England squad has some fine players but has a poor manager, he's the type that do a job for a Wales or Scotland but if England want to win things Hodgson isn't the man to do it. Rooney looks half the player he was. He plays Wilshire way too deep. They are winning a easy qualifying group but they will disappoint again once they come up agaisn't top quality sides in the Euro's next summer

Thanks Jesus I didn't make the trip up to it.

I couldn't agree with you more. There is no way he should be our number 1 now. Greatest ever keeper for us (along with Bonner) but he's past his best. He should be third choice because of the experience he can bring to the squad. He should never ever play for us again though.
