    Hi all.
    I have a maxtor 3200 which i use to store all my family photos. it worked fine until now. I have all the leads connected as they should but it wont start up. It usually has a green LED to indicate power. This LED does not light up now. the adaptor is the correct one i checked it out online. Any ideas? Where can i get it looked at.

    Probably a faulty enclosure [or power adapter]. Stuff breaks! However the disk inside is prob OK. And your photos. However, consider using online backup service, as disks break too, not to mention getting stolen/falling off tables/house fire etc.

    Hopefully its the adapter, here's a cheap one

    Any computer/phone repair shop would prob test the adapter with a multimeter for you for free
