    My daughters boy friends house got caught off few days ago with over 1000 euro bill. What are their options to get reconnected. They don't want a pre pay and can't afford to pay bill in lump sum but would be willing to set up a derict debit to pay the bill if this is possible. They have kids staying with them and need connected ASAP if derit debit is accepted but how quickly can this be done.

    Thank you for your message.

    We would be unable to discuss any account information with a third party, but we can supply you with general information. A lump sum payment would most likely be required as a direct debit would take a minimum of ten to fourteen working days to complete. The account holder needs to make contact directly to discuss their options as we can only deal with the named account holder. He can call our colleagues in the Credit Control department on 018035180. Any reconnection appointments would depend on availability in the area, so we would be unable to advise on this.
