Bewleys at Leopardstown probably is the easiest.

LUAS to Balally from Central Park stop (adjacent to the hotel) and then 30 minute walk to Marlay Park.

You will also be travelling home in the opposite direction to most of the crowds after the concert, and with the last LUAS being at 00:30 from the city, you should get back easily enough.

You could stay in town and get the 16 bus to Marley Park - it takes longer to get there than the Luas but at least you end up with a shorter walk. Normally the 16 goes right past the entrance to the park and to the gigs. There will be traffic restrictions in place, but the buses will still be running to somewhere reasonably near the park. If you are relying on the 16, then any hotel within a reasonable distance of the 16 route in the city centre will be OK for you. The 16 runs through O'Connell Street, D'Olier Street, College Green, George's Street, Wexford Street and Camden Street, which would give you plenty of hotel options.

Another way of using the Luas is to get the Green Line to Dundrum, take a wee walk up as far as the taxi rank at Dundrum Town Centre and then get a cab to Marley. It's a bit expensive for one person (probably about €9 or €10), but if you were in company with a couple of others it might be an option.

Based on experience - I would not recommend this. The 16 will be full with regular commuters as it is (this concert is on a Friday).

Added to that, many people had to walk a long distance to get a taxi after the gigs last year as there were very few additional buses provided.

Far easier to get the LUAS from Bewley's Hotel to Balally. Yes it's a 30 minute walk but at least you're going against the flow.

It's about the whole experience, so it might be easier but it won't be better. ;)
