Waterproof jacket for touring

Since I'm heading to Ireland for a tour next month ,I guess I'll need a half decent waterproof jacket. I'm not sure if I should go for a mountain bike style one or something more suited to the roads ( I'll be on the roads) Can anyone recommend me one that costs no more than say €140 ! I'm a bit of a sweater so something…
