Had a look on Air BnB but there's very little by way of apartments/houses in Galway on the site. Lots of places are entered as entire unit but are actually rooms/floors in people's houses.

Looking for somewhere for the week of 23-30 August, ideally walking distance to city centre. 1/2 bedrooms (there are just two of us), kitchen essential.

Anyone got any advice? Thanks :)

Did you have a look at Daft short term rentals or Galway Advertiser?
    https://www.daft.ie/short-term/
    http://classifieds.advertiser.ie/

    Perhaps http://www.donegancourt.com/

My brother rented a 3 bedroom apartment in 1 of the student villages last year. Approx 15 min walk downhill to Salthill and around 35 mins into town was ideal and from what I can remember very reasonable

Thanks a million folks. Emailed a place from the advertiser last night and have also sussed out Cuirt an Rasaigh (which would reallly suit as we have a wedding at the end of the week in the Clayton). Will check the other places out now too :)

You could try Western House apartments in Salthill. Great location and the price looks reasonable http://www.westernhouse.ie/.

I know someone who has a house on the west side of the city that is vacant (I think) for the whole summer & she is thinking of renting it out. Might be too far for you if you are intent on staying on the east side beside the Clayton though. But if you are interested pm me and I will give you her details.
