Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

That was more for tagging a topic though, no?

The OP is referring to putting a username in a post and that user gets notified there is a post awaiting them.

In post tagging, absolutely not. Maybe it could work if you could tag the person in a separate box attached to the post. Users then could have the option of hiding these boxes.

I thought there already was tagging. There definitely was tagging at some point. Probably turned off because most tags were comedic or roundabout ways of insulting people as I recall. Basically you're not grown up enough to use tagging.

It's almost like each user has an address, via which they are addressable, and thus you can have, like, communications tunnels with individual people on social media Websites. That's pretty cool. Now, what would be even better would be a whole separate app for contacting people privately and having conversations completely separately from all the usual social network stuff. HELO to you too!

You can click your name, and then the thing beginning with S, and then posts that quote you. That's handy, but I can't remember the S word and I can't see it on the touch site

There used to be a way of doing that too.
And a thread-based view, so posts were organised according to what they responded to, not just order of posting.
I think I see the trend. Soon it will just be emails and a spreadsheet.
