I guess the Focus would feel more manic. Well, the ST 2.5 would have more power too. You'd probably need an STI to properly compete. 218bhp in an Impreza isn't massive.

Previous owner said it was mapped to 240bhp, which should be more powerful but I'm far from convinced

I'll buy another St soon once one comes up at right money. The only hateful thing is taxing one!!!

My 06 mk5 gti does it for me, maybe not the fastest out there by a mile, but i look for any excuse to go for a long drive :)

Some great cars getting thrown up here. Was thinking today and if I was to have one of my cars back I would pick my b4 rsk from about 15 years ago. Was one of the first in the country for a long time. Very comfortable, fast, the sound from the 5zigen exhaust was insane (banged and popped on downshifts). Would love another one but I dont think the car will live up to the memories of that one.

Owned an sti for 7-8 years prior to my 535d now. Cracking car in every way didnt even mind the thirst of it but didnt leave the same mark on me as the b4 did

B4's are great value atm, pity once remapped they really need 98 octane fuel which it's madness we can't get.

    My old bravo hgt.

Change the belt they said, it will only go a few more miles they said. Should've listened.

Had to be the focus ST for me also.

I let her go last year and regret it ever since. If I could buy it back now I would!

Must say that I do miss my ST too, had a lovely mongoose exhaust on it and the pops and bangs were savage :)

My black dc2 integra type r . Miss it everyday. The changeover to vtec was amazing. The amount of passengers I scared in that car was unreal. Ahh its only a 1.8, then the vtec kicked in wtf!!!!!! :-)

FTO GPX manual. Best thing I ever spent money on :D.

Any other FTO owners out here?

Mine was never mapped and never gave a days trouble over the years of ownership. You can map them to 95 octane as well for the crappy fuel over here.

Looked into importing a really low km blue one from japan, think it was about 2.5-3k to buy but by the time I got it in my driveway taxed, vrt'd, fees payed I was looking at close to 7k.

Focus st seems to be an excellent car according to this thread. I have always over looked them when coming to buy a new car
