Paul Stirling has signed a contract with Middlesex to the end of the 2016 season. Currently at the bat (73*) with Andy Balbirnie (33*) with Middlesex 2nds v Glamorgan 2nds in Radlett.

Balbirnie double century out for 205 (1 x 6; 27 x 4). With Stirling also out for 254 (2 x 6; 36 x 4), that's two double centuries in the same game for the same side, Middlesex 2nds. 2nd wicket partnership of 388.

Would hope so. Some bemusement among Middx fans that Stirling not given more chances and seems solely viewed as a 1-day/ T20 specialist by management. This is tempered with changing a team with a successful County Championship start (before today anyway). Yorkshire just might have done Stirling a favour today.
