Sunscreen question

Do you apply sunscreen over or under moisturiser? Sounds daft I know but I was putting on both this morning and couldn't decide which to do first! My thinking was sunscreen first so it has no barrier to soak in. Anyone know?

I always thought it was sunscreen first? I always put on sunscreen first as logically, it seems correct. Articles online seem to all say different things!

It seems like it depends on the type of sunscreen...hmm!

I always apply sunscreen over moisturiser. My poor dry skin would suffer otherwise!
I wouldn't trust powder sunscreens on their own for sun protection but they're great to top up SPF later in the day if you're wearing makeup.

I am starting to wear it everyday as I'm getting older and while I should have started years ago better late than never! Logically I thought I'd put the sunscreen on first, let it soak in, and then put whatever else I apply over it, because then the sunscreen wouldn't be trying to compete with anything. I'm really fair so I have a kids factor 50 for my face, I think its a Vichy one.
