From what I can see, they've given people a 10 percent discount code for their next purchase if they didn't receive the game on release day.

Double click the right analog stick in to do a rainbow flick.
Hold the right analog stick in as you're jogging to do keepy uppys.
To do the cross over/Ronaldo turn, flick the right analog stick in the direction you're running and then the left analog stick up or down, depending on where you intend to turn.

That last one can be very effective when approaching the box. Finesse shot as soon as you turn to score some super goals :)

Any idea when the transfer update is coming out?

I want to start my Master League with it!

Is there no way someone can create the bundeliga and we simply download it? Really don't want to have to create it.

I agree - PES 2016 is a completely different game on and offline. Offline games are all over the place, although maybe that is just the effect of having two human players facing off, regardless I don't find it anywhere near as enjoyable as offline.

Master league game play is great, very enjoyable. Started with Blackburn, first game was against Ipswich who just hoofed the ball up to Darryl Murphy for the whole game. Next game I think was Brentford who played possession football, differences in the teams' play is really noticeable and a big plus.

Does anyone know if you can rearrange the leagues in master league before you start? Like mix them up? Couldn't see an option for it but used to do it back in the PS2 days.

Also fairly raging there isn't option files available especially after Konami said there would be during the summer. How hard can it be for them and sony to sort? Would put the game on a different level if you could import others saved data. Can't justify putting in the time needed to create the bundesliga or other teams

    Unfortunately not.
You'll need to download the kits and edit in the players.

Doesn't take to long though. Max 2 hours I'd say.

    Look pretty good to -

Online is almost unplayable for me. Input lag is ridiculous.

Is there a button you have to press to shield the ball? Even with my back to defenders and the ball in front of me, if i've played a long ball the defender just comes through me

    Little heads up for everyone.
When Konami release the updated teams, a lot of players will disappear.

For example Chicharito is still with Madrid but when the update comes he'll be moved to Bayer Leverkusen. Since they're not in the game, Chicharito will be deleted.

Here's a list of the main ones -

    PREMIER LEAGUE:

    ARSENAL: G. Zelalem
    ASTON VILLA: Vlaar
    CHELSEA: Drogba
    C.PALACE: J. Williams
    LEICESTER: A. Knockaert, E. Cambiasso
    LIVERPOOL: Gerrard
    MAN CITY: Boyata, Lampard
MAN UTD: Van Persie, A. Januzaj, T. Blackett
    NEWCASTLE: M. Abeid, F. Ferreyra
    STOKE: W. Palacios
    TOTTENHAM: E. Adebayor, Paulinho
    WATFORD: D. Pudil
    WEST HAM: G. Demel

    LIGUE 1:

    MONACO: D. Berbatov

    SERIE A:

    JUVENTUS: Pirlo
    LAZIO: L. Cavanda
    AC MILAN: Essien, S. Muntari

    LIGA BBVA

    BARCELONA: Xavi
    REAL MADRID: J. Hernández
    SEVILLA: S. Mbia

    OTHER EUROPEANS TEAMS

    WOLFSBURG: Zhang Xizhe
    MONCHENGLADBACH: C. Kramer, P. Mlapa
    BASEL: F. Schär , F. Frei

Here is the full list - http://www.pesgaming.com/showthread.php?t=98372&page=6

Now to save the players it's pretty easy.

    1-Go to edit
    2-Create player
    3-Then select basecopy
4-After selecting basecopy go to Real Madrid and click on Chicharito and basecopy the player
    5-Accept changes
    6-Save player

I play a lot of offline myself, but I'm the same as you, I paid a lot of money, some basic functionality would be nice.

So I finally tried manual controls tonight. Shooting will take a while to get used to but passing was very good. Didn't take top much getting used to.

Just curious, what do people find are the main benefits of manual controls?

Just curious, what do people find are the main benefits of manual controls?

When I score a cracker, or slot one in at the end of a lovely sequence of build-up play, I can sit back and know that I did it. Every element of it was orchestrated by me. On the other hand, I take zero pleasure in scoring an assisted goal, or completing an assisted through-ball.

People have (unfairly) criticised Naughty Dog (Uncharted, The Last of Us) for having created 'push forward' games, meaning you as a player aren't doing enough to affect the game. Well if there is such a thing as 'push forward' games, then assisted-settings are its sporting manifestation.

I respect people's right to play their games however they choose, but I honestly cannot see the attraction of assisted play, bar the odd bit of banter with your mates or whatever. But for a proper game of footie, and to really test what the game is capable of, then it's manual all day long.

To get back to your question. One of the greatest advantages of manual play is the way you can play the ball into open space. With assisted passing you're passing to the player, but on manual you can play it slightly ahead of the receiving player. It keep things moving and it's so natural watching players coming onto the ball in that way.

That affects how you approach the through-ball. You can direct them anywhere you want. I regularly play them 25-30 yards ahead of the receiving player, sometimes right into the corners, but using really fast wingers to skin the full backs. You can do that to a certain extent with assisted settings, but the computer will always try to direct you toward a text-book through-ball, whereas what I want to do is unorthodox. It's not even a through ball. I'm just using that functionality to spread the ball around and open teams up in a way that the computer reads as unnatural.

Manual play takes a while, but you guys coming onto it right now are very lucky. There's never been a better or quicker way to learn. Leave the ping-pong-passing and the box-office bicycle kicks for the kids online. Manual is where the grown-ups come to play.

Are you sure they'll be deleted? Surely they would end up in the "other" section in edit mode and master league. That was the case last year with a lot of players

So if I mainly plan on playing my club online will the lag issues make that impossible? Am I better off just getting fifa?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,450 ✭✭✭Batesy

So the final consensus seems to be Pes for offline play and FIFA for online and Pes is so good offline that it's actually still worth the purchase.

I'll have to bite the bullet and buy both so as 90% of my gaming is online.
