    Hi,

Cleaning out the garage and discovered some paint cans which are very old. Peeked inside and the paint is definitely gone out of date / unusable so no point in looking to donate it.

What are the options in / near city center for disposing of old paint?

    Thanks.

    Mungret. 5yoyos.

yes but they only allow you to bring 5 tins of paint for the set price. ( I'm not sure if it is €5 )
every tin after that is charged at €2 per tin.

We did a clear out of paint last month

Wtf? Seems to be more conditions every time.

Any idea have they restricted the litres of used car oils etc?

Car oil is free to dispose of, but paint is 5 euro

    That dont make sense....so 5 tins costs a 5er,....and another 5 would cost a 10er.....

Cheaper to drop off 5 tins...drive out and drive back in with the next 5 tins no?

The trick with mungret is to just fill the car with anything you want to get rid of so they might overlook how much paint you have. Seems to be hit and miss too, some of the lads there don't check what you have at all

Ah I dont mind paying for disposing of harmful products like paint.....but that billing structure is nonsense

On top of the entry fee? Ah, they seem to have updated their site with this info. Only 5 litres of oil allowed. So two trips for some cars.

WEEE only - free to enter, free to dispose of.

Most other acceptable stuff... 5 euro in for normal car.

Paint 5 euro in, 5 euro for first 5 tins, 2 euro per tin afterwards?
