Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Big big game for Dundalk tomorrow. Anything but a win and things start getting very nervous.

When do we start calling Bohs vs Shams the Dublin Councils Stadiums Derby?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,965 ✭✭✭✭Gavin "shels"

Shels game is at 7.45, as will be all the home games going forward for some reason.

Big game for us and a win badly needed.

St Pats will let Scots who wear a kilt in for free :pac:

You serious? You are 3pt clear with a game in hand.

Try being a Derry fan. Now our game is a must win.

Only just realised it is Friday! Normally I'm at work. Going to watch the TV game now since there's actually one. Wish it was the Galway game since they've not been televised once to my knowledge! :/

Bohs to win is my guess. Don't know much about either really.

Rovers beating Bohs in Dalymount and Dundalk losing.

    Carlsberg don't do Friday nights...

Bohs have been poor. Rovers look more like they have something about them and played pretty comfortably through the first half. The pitch looks terribly uneven, not sure if it's my screen but down the shams end in that opening half there was a serious leveling issue between the goal and the corner flag...a proper slope like.

Brian Kerr "Akinade seems to be getting a fair bit of stick from Rovers fans" :long silence whilst Hamilton explains to him: :pac:

Oh what a beautiful evening to be alive! 3-1 win, I would have been happy with a scrappy nil all draw

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,935 ✭✭✭kksaints

Sounded like we recovered from a dire first half performance to score 3 goals in 8 minutes and win 3-1 against Limerick.

It doesn't get much better than that. Amazing feeling.

Mid season break came at the right time! Badly missed foy and Keating tonight, (hopefully Keating stays, if not he has to be replaced) must have had 2/3rds possession but never looked like pulling level. Wexford had 3 shots, scored them all, altho in fairness one was a free and the other 2 were woeful defending and were rightfully put away.

Still.... top, would have taken that with both hands at the start of the season!!

Edit-just seen darkglasses post... One of the lads in the club posted a pic of the pitch from the top of the gantry yesterday and it looked immaculate...wtf happened?!

Another shocking performance by Cork tonight. Credit to Bray they were solid and could have snuck a draw.

****ing hell what an end to the match, izzy chasing down the keeper and getting the assist!

And its always better against rovers!

Players are people too and they all knew and loved Hano, could actually see their heads were not in it at all and Limerick took advantage, we couldnt string 2 passes together. We are easily the best passing side in the league and couldnt hit each other when 5 yards away. Limerick scored a well deserved goal, they dominated the 1st half. Players needed halftime and in 8 minutes utterly destroyed Limerick same as vs Bohs could have scored 10 but for poor finishing and poor final passes.

Place was rocking around the 2:00 mark. One of the best nights I've ever had following Bohs. Surreal carry on.

Deserved a draw tonight, gutted for it not to happen. Cork goal very lucky, clear foul on Mitchell before the initial shot. Tame affair that burst into life with a rush of blood to the head and two red cards. Cork somehow worse in second half, very good save by McNulty for the penalty though.

Ye were decent enough. Bar Dundalk, ye gave best account of of away team at Cross so far this season.

Missed opportunity to be top at halfway. But after the start we had to the season when we were 2nd bottom, I'd take 2 points from top (albeit with a game extra played).

Carlsberg don't do "wait until the match ends before you get carried away with yourself" predictions either which is PROBABLY a good thing :pac:

There's about 13 in Section O in the Flan Siro. Around 200 here in total. Ridiculous.

Me myself who has been in that side of the ground since before any sections or what have you would blame that personally on one or two littke cretins, loud mouthed little ****s who the rest of us want nothing to do with, alienating fans at acting holyier than thou, little pricks! Congrats on the win, but these two idiots annoy me and several others something shocking...

Baffling stuff from Fenlon. We were great first half, thought we would push on and kill it but he didn't press it and we sat back, made defensive substitutions and handed the game right back to Bohs who then battered us as you would.

He's incredibly negative. As you said, game was yours for the taking, but that's not something that Fenlon ever looks to do really.

Thought we were ok last night. Need a totally new back 5 though. Had one cleared off the line very early on then Rogers let one in for us. Stupid own goal and a debatable penalty means we come out with nothing.

Referee was awful. Stupid decisions in both directions all night.

Bad team to lose to for the first time in ages, but not altogether surprising with Drennan out. That could be a very very costly red card at this time of the season.

Maltese refs at our game didnt get the book Bolger memo.....strange seeing him playing football and not be booked.

They did ok but Duggan should have been sent off for off the ball incidents twice, other than that solid refs.

Disgraceful! We could and probably should have won it!

They were working fine for the 2nd half, so not sure on the switch.
