Yea, Keith (he's not much of a celebrity to me!)

He appears in every celebrity show. I really thought he was going

    How so?

I'm 20 minutes behind, so that might explain my confusion!

Utterly cheesy challenge (pardon the pun), and do not tell me they didn't have assistance/advice/recipes to help them!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,048 ✭✭✭✭HeidiHeidi

So they gave out to Sheree for her tart still being in the tin, but let Rylan away with serving an ENTIRE cake on a cakestand? Ho hum.

Bizarre order they did the tastings in - you'd assume (well I would) that they'd want all the mains first, followed by all the desserts.

I'm liking Kimberley more and more, and Scott seems to be flying it.

So Tom (whom I like, as it happens, and he seemed to be doing very well) gets a free pass for sticking his hand into a food mixer and slicing his finger in half.

Surely that should merit instant disqualification for idiocy

Is he being kept in? I was only half watching, because I was clearing up the kitchen when it was on, but I heard talk of eliminating only one of the others, so I presumed that he was out due to injury.

There is seven in tomorrow's episode so Tom is still there. I think they said four in the final so three going tomorrow. I like Kimberly, Scott and Rylan.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,048 ✭✭✭✭HeidiHeidi

"You get to the semi-finals, and one mistake and it's the end of the road." Tom

Except it wasn't for Tom. Harumph.

Sheree is unnervingly like someone I know, it's very hard to concentrate on her food!

Love - but am slightly bemused by the fact - that Rylan is going to all the trouble of making frozen chips :D

Sam is slightly hampered by the fact that his autumnal/Hallowe'en desert fantasia is being broadcast at the height of summer!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,048 ✭✭✭✭HeidiHeidi

    Rylan is mad.

    Properly barking.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,048 ✭✭✭✭HeidiHeidi

Not a fan of Scott's presentation.

Thought Sheree was going to blub again.

All going downhill after the first two dishes!

ETA - OK, I take that back! Kimberly's a winner - although I wouldn't fancy it myself, particularly. Delighted for her!

Sam's cheesecake looks too sweet for me.

The three lamb dishes up for kicking out.

Glad Scott stayed. He seems to understand food and is a good cook.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,048 ✭✭✭✭HeidiHeidi

Rylan should do well at this task :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,607 ✭✭✭Meauldsegosha

    This should be interesting.

My mind is boggled already, and we're not even through the first dish

I may have overeaten my dinner - but all this not-what-it-seems, distorted reality, mad stuff is making me feel slightly queasy

    I want one. :o

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,048 ✭✭✭✭HeidiHeidi

Christ, how much (many?) ingredients were wasted in the making of this?

Having said that, I recently made a tuna/cauliflower bake, and halfway through the cooking time found the tuna still on the countertop :o

So I'm hardly in a position to throw stones!

Mica's sandwiches weren't quite the precise works of art that Jocky's were - but well done her (at the third attempt :D)

    This is all bonkers stuff!

Is that actor with the cardboard nose Irish?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,048 ✭✭✭✭HeidiHeidi

White chocolate cake followed by chicken and pea custard?

Not sure about that for a running order.....

The custard is my favourite dish so far though.

I don't think they liked Scott's cake that much. It looked good though.
Don't think that guy is Irish.

That consommé (sp?) ain't exactly clear.......

(again from someone who shouldn't be in a glasshouse in the first place!)

    Aw, poor Mica!

That's a stinker of an elimination round.

I'm missing bits, do they all have to make desserts?

Yep, basically given a larder and give us a dessert.

Hope Rylan hasn't overestimated his abilities here

Two-thirds base, one-third topping from Sam.

    Doesn't look great IMO.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,048 ✭✭✭✭HeidiHeidi

Christ, Scott's is a chocolate cake-mix mess

Definitely feeling a bit queasy now!

Need a cheeseboard and crackers to detox from all that sweetness, urgently.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,403 ✭✭✭daisybelle2008

Ha ha, I keep going to the fridge and picking, this programme is bad for the waistline.

Think Mica is at risk to go.

I think Misa should go. Anyone can make a pancake.

    I agree!
When you compare the work Rylan put in, compared to making a pancake, she had to go.

I'm loving this series. Delighted Mica went this week, didn't like her at all.

I think it's between Rylan and Scott for the win. I love Rylan, he's hilarious and a really exciting cook. Scott is very skilled and determined.

I think Kimberly is fantastic too, but I think she might be just a bit out there.

I like them all, but (I never thought that Id say this) Rylan is great!

I think Rylan is very funny and natural. He's a bit flamboyant but it doesn't seem put-on, if you get me.
I would like him to win, but don't mind if he doesn't- I think he's happy being a finalist and I like all those left now.

I loved his reaction after making the cake. He was so shocked at how well it turned out! "I made a cake. A CAKE. I can do a CAKE." :D

Just caught up now. Love Rylan but Kimberly could do it imo.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,089 ✭✭✭✭P. Breathnach

If you could invite one of them into your kitchen to cook a meal for you and, to ensure that the test was a cooking one, you did not have any social interaction with him or her, who would you trust?

    I'd choose Scott.

 Rylan's Lavendar stuff looks nuts. Hope not but I think it might go tits up for him.

Kimberly's beef is too rare for me.

No one shining in the critics round so far.

Scott really messed up his dessert.

    Scott
    will go tonight.
