Km9 Pro is €63 on Geekbuying from EU warehouse.
Use Parcel Motel and postage is €1.40 + €3.99 (PM),it works out cheaper than their postage to Ireland (€8.19) and should arrive quicker.
All in for less than €68.

Last one I ordered arrived within 5 days but that was before Covid19 restrictions.

Thanks, is EU warehouse a particular warehouse on Geekbuying or are there many EU warehouses in it and I need to choose between them.

It's one of several tabs when you go to buy the box.China,Germany etc but click on EU and that's the cheapest price.

Yes they would be.Very fast delivery too (usually) but check the delivery charges they can be quite high

I suppose it all depends on how good your broadband and wifi is.Id always have my boxs connected with a cable where possible.

I have a Mibox (first one) in the kitchen with an ethernet adapter and a MiBox S in my daughters room on 5Ghz wifi (AP on ceiling on landing) and find no difference. It's really down to how good your wifi is

I don't have Fibre broadband. I'll be using Mobile Broadband from either Eir or Three. I'm currently just accessing Internet from my phone.

Will these boxes work ok on Mobile Broadband. I think Fibre is necessary for IPTV but I haven't used that before, I'm mainly interested in YouTube, Netflix etc.

Both Three and Eir have deals that include a Router. I think Three use a B535 and Eir use a B528.

Iirc it's better to buy a 4g router and use whatever sim deal gives the best value/speeds etc.

You might struggle at times over the next few weeks or months with mobile broadband.
More and more people will be using the service at the same time due to being at home when they usually wouldn't. Depending on how close you are to the mast, and how many people are also online in the area, it could be perfectly fine one day, and awful the next.

I prefer the mecool over the mibox. Also, it has other options to install roms on it if that becomes a necessity, and more write storage.
The only licence not officially on the mecool is Widevine Level 3 for Netflix, but that is possible to workaround, and may be getting sorted anyway.
The ethernet port is also an advantage.
If you plug in a mouse or usb stick and are having issues with keyboard, you can turn that off in settings. I haven't had any issues with it other than that.

Personally, I wouldn't recommend it and will say that you are going to struggle at times. I know from personal experience back in the day. Mobile midband (it's not broadband, despite what the advertising says) is completely unpredictable and the speeds vary to crazy degrees, not to mention stability, consistency and large pings. You may get away with low quality SD streams for the most part but will struggle with HD quality.

3 is alright if ur in the areas getting a steady 20 upto 50 down at night of not it slows to a halt at times

eir is more stable but is limited to 80gig a month

check the 4g signal in your area
a good eir signal and u be ok 5 bars 3 4g can go to nothing in most areas

If you can get fibre, why would you even consider Three (or any midband provider)??? That's insane! There's no comparison!! Get yourself fibre - it shouldn't even be a debate....

Fibre speeds to my area are even less than midband.

So, you are in an FTTC area then? If that is the case then speeds vary depending on the distance of your house to the exchange/cabinet - but you you can't just say it's a blanket thing for your entire area as some houses will have faster speeds than others. Have you tried using your Eircode to get an exact speed to your house?
