Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

That's a staggeringly mediocre England side. How some of them get into an (allegedly) top international side is a mystery to me.

Was waiting to watch this and now I see it's not on UTV Ireland, what an absolute fúcking joke of a cúntin' channel

Live on ITV for those who don't know.

Sterling has been slaughtered in the press in the last few weeks, but I reckon he will have taken all the criticism to heart and will want to put in an excellent performance today. Have him for first goal scorer at 9/1.

Not sure why you're surprised. UTV Ireland is an Irish channel, totally separate to "regular" UTV. They would no more show an England qualifier than RTE or TV3 would. Why would they?

Honestly, it's an absolute joke. I just wish UTV Ireland would p!ss off and give back ITV.

Usually Setanta would take up the baton, but they're not showing it.

Anyway, c'mon England. I have money on them to win.

The fact it replaces ITV would be the major bigbear. You're right in what you say though.

Can you not get regular ITV/UTV?

Poor from Sterling, nice little chipped pass from Rooney.
    Francie will be livid :pac:

    Sterling sterling'd it.

Hodgson hasn't seemed to be able to teach Sterling to finish either.

    Dreadful attempt.

On UPC, ITV was on the main platform, but that's gone now to be replaced by UTV Ireland.

You can still get ITV if you have Sky in the Other Channels button.

Sterling driving his price down with that miss. :(

Ah right, that's a bit sh*tty alright. I thought you could tune it in on UPC too.

Ref playing well for England so far.

Rooney and Sterling linking up very well so far.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,796 ✭✭✭✭Francie Barrett

Sterling playing well in my opinion, every time he gets on the ball he looks threatening. If he can sort out the finishing, he'll be a big, big player.

    Cracking save!!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,363 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

Henderson, Wilshere and Delph looks a very impressive midfield at times.

Standard of football is absolutely shocking. Two garbage teams with very average players.

Jones as RB over Clyne is weird.

    Christ above . . . .

    Handanovic

Hart, Cahill, Henderson, Rooney, Smalling, Jones, Sterling, Gibbs

If that's average then you must find 90% of football damn well average.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Surely Clyne is a better option.

England like passing the ball to no real effect, having done so since the dawn of time. There a gutless team.

    Boom get the fock in!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,363 ✭✭✭✭SlickRic

Terrible organisation at the back. Playing offside there is fúcking laughable.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,019 ✭✭✭✭adox

    Great finish. Awful defending.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 13,222 ✭✭✭✭Will I Amnt

Timed that run to perfection, nice finish too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,725 ✭✭✭✭blueser

    What was Cahill thinking of?

Now, I rate Jones as a player, but as an attacking RB it's not even remotely close.

    Very strange.

Slovenia's jersey looks something a tennis player would wear at Wimbledon.

I wouldn't be a fan of Jones in general. Honestly think Man U are better than that and I know he can be versatile, but CB is surely his best position.

Clyne is a better RB than Jones.

Townsend and Jones are offering nothing on the right.

Jones is good. He just seems to be pegged as someone who can covers multitude of positions.

If he was kept at CB and nothing else, I think we'd see how good he actually is on a more regular basis.

Walcott no doubt will save there blushes.

Need far better than Delph in that playmaker 10 role.

    Any reason Jags/Stones/Barkley/Clyne didn't play?

Yep; UTV/ITV. Not sure I'd bother if I were you; it's not the greatest example of "the beautiful game".

    :(

You may be better off sticking with that, to be honest!

Henderson to right back while one of the best rbs in premier league last season in clyne sits on the bench, baffling decision.

England will go no were as long as hodge son is the manager

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 54,640 ✭✭✭✭Headshot

Every time I see Townsend I ask myself how is he still in the PL and especially playing for the England

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 13,222 ✭✭✭✭Will I Amnt

    Good strike from Wilshere.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,019 ✭✭✭✭adox

    Cracking strike.

Not keen on England with red shorts. Navy blue would be the classic look.

    Goal! Cracking effort from Wilshire
