Minor query

Hi folks.

Probably a silly query but...

I am getting backing into sea fishing after a long number of years. I will be mostly spinning, feathering and light bait and float fishing. I am using an 18lb breaking strain line for all methods which however is very thin and casts a 1oz spinner very well.

my query is that I like to break the rod down after each session and store it in a bag and put the reel away in my tackle bag however I don't want to have to tie on a swivel each time I fish as I use a bit of my expensive line each time. I cant get a swivel small enough that would be strong enough to go through the top ring.

What do other people do??

I always totally dismantle. Tying on a swivel uses a tiny amount of line.

Possibly look into getting some sort of clip in a fishing shop,I know I got some some long slender ones for chopping and changing over lures that fit through the eye of my fishing rod when I break it down

Tie a loop at the end of the line. Swivel then goes into loop. Undo swivel when finished...no line wasted and reassembled in jig-time.
