Giroud has a job on his hands I think

Wenger's gameplay was brilliant today in fairness. Get the early goal and sit back for the game waiting to counter attack. Ozil was outstanding today, just as I was giving up faith with him. Walcott was brilliant up front, but Giroud should have came on earlier. All the time Cech kicked it out, Man Utd kept on coming back onto us. Also, would have been very handy for corners.

    Brilliant.....masterclass. Well done the Gunners.

I take it I wasn't the only one to **** myself when I saw Gibbs coming on?

I don't really see why, it's not like he replaced Monreal.

Brilliant result and tbf Wenger got the tactics spot on.

I take it I wasn't the only one to **** myself when I saw Gibbs coming on?

no, wasn't really worried, because he was playing in front of Monreal and it was already too late for that Utd to do anything.

I thought that we were the slowest team for the build-up play, but man, that first half Utd was even slower.

How good is Ozil with a runner at CF? Walcott is really making the role his own so far.

Absolutely, that's like 3/4 good assists for Walcott in the last two games.

Some other things have been awful but he may have been right about not signing a striker.

Don't understand the grief he gets. He's nowhere as bad as people make out, and has come on plenty of times to help close out games without any drama.

Congrats lads - happy for Wenger too as he is no doubt frustrating but seems to be a good man.

Great performance and I can't complain about a single thing. Ozil, Walcott and Alexis were brilliant. We showed Utd up today.

Wow...I hear there's a job going at Sunderland. Would be hilarious after all that time they were trying to force Borini out of Liverpool to go there.

why give him all that money to spend in the summer. Liverpool is a club on the downward spiral.

did anyone see the look Carragher had when he heard Rodgers got the sack :pac:. Henry was loving it.

Was expecting to tune into a nice Breaking News headline on SSNHQnthat Arsenal thrashed Man Utd. Quite a shock then!

On the train back to Gatwick. That was satisfying.

Ramsey is a messer. Giving the ball away a lot.
if i could pick a bad performer for us today it would be Rambo. Too much arsing about and flicking. Very careless in possession and that miss was beyond brutal

Couldn't disagree with this any more tbh. Wasn't at his best but he his so much more clever than anyone else who plays on the right for us. No coincidence we look far better with him in the team.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,828 ✭✭✭gosplan

Wow, thanks alf. That actually deserves spelling out.

United fan here lads just dropping in - fair fúcks to ye today, ye were stunning at times and we could not handle the speed of Arsenal's play. Wenger got tactics spot on and that no mean feat against LVG.

On another day it could have been 5/6-0... LVG genuinely looked rattled after that in the post match intervew. I did have a bad feeling going into the game though, Arsenal had been wound up all week by the press and some of the Arsenal fans after the CL result - there was no doubt that ye were going give that extra few %.

He's at least solid there. Only person that could really come in for him would be Wilshire. Ox just making too many defensive errors.

I don't really like to see him get abuse though. He is really taking one for the team.

Well that was one of the most satisfying 90mins of my life.

Wenger lives to fight another day:p p

    Arsene deserved that result.

I reckon after Wenger saw the UCL draw he thought "fcuk this shït, let's concentrate on the league"

So after midweek, are there still fans who want Wenger out?

    :)

how nice and calm is in here, really enjoyable after a win and a great performance, very little to complain about.
International break now, hope all the lads come back with no problems.

On another note, Bayern absolutely hammered Dortmund. Looks like Bundesliga is over already.

And they recently hockeyed the other big challenger Wolfsburg.

    A one team league unforntunately

    I am sure there are.
It's up to him and the team to regain the trust.
From my point of view, anything less than 2nd place wouldn't/shouldn't be acceptable.

At the moment yes I do. If they put a run together then I may change my spots. The problem is they will put in a great performance like this against United only to piss it away in the next game.

Yes. And I was at both matches.

Today was brilliant. Ozil was brilliant. We destroyed them. But still want a change.

    :)

Yes. I've wanted him out for quiet some time. A good result (finally) against a poor United side doesn't change that.

I enjoyed the win today but I'm not a reactionary person, it would take a lot more to convince me that Wenger is the man to take us to the next level.

The bad news today is that now Klopp might go to Liverpool instead of us.

Until that happens, I won't believe it.

Knowing the clowns who own Liverpool, they'll hire Klinsmann instead of Klopp.

Would people Like him sacked mid season??

If this season ends in disappointment I wouldn't mind seeing him go but not in the middle of the season

I actually respect the man enough to give him till the end of the season. He deserves better than a mid-season exit for what he has given the club.

If the right candidate is available to take over, yes the board should be decisive.

    We're 2nd in the league.

It really does seem insane a lot want him gone.

But its more complex than that I understand.

I hope he goes end of season

But I would give my left nut too see him sign off with the title
