Help finding old RDF (FCA) unit after defence forces reorganisation

Hi folks I was just looking for some help or information on my old FCA unit. I can't seem to find much online and would love some help as to what happened to it after the defence forces reorganisation.

I was a 3 star gunner in the 11th battery (Edenderry, Offaly), 6th Field Artillery Regiment based in the curragh DFTC for 4-5 years before being discharged due to work commitments in 2004/2005.
Any of the lads that I currently know from the fca all left before I did and don't know much of what happened to the unit.
I read on another forum that the regiment was disbanded and that the 11th battery was integrated into the 56th infantry battalion but then upon researching the 56th Inf. Batt. I found that even that battalion was disbanded in 2012 so now am at a dead end ha.

If someone could give me some info as to what happened or what unit the Edenderry reserve personnel are currently with that'd be much appreciated. I had some great times in the reserve and would love to know what happened after I left. Even thinking a little of rejoining maybe?
    Thank you for any help

56th Bn went to 6Bn so Athlone the best place to start. Some of the ex-regiment personnel may have gone to Athlone as well.
