I have a 32LN540V. Does it support DLNA? If not, what's the ethernet port for -- I have it connected successfully to a network, but not clue what it can do with it. The manual is no help.

If no DLNA on the LN540V, which LG models support it, at what kind of price?

    Ta in advance.

    Hi thanks for your message,

On looking at the spec, the 32LN540V doesn't support DLNA, I believe the ethernet port was included to allow for software updates to the TV via internet -

    support page - http://www.lg.com/uk/support-product/lg-32LN540V#

If you wanted another 32" with DLNA you could look at the LG 32lf580 - http://euro.richersounds.ie/p-201292-32lf580v.aspx#tabSpecifications-tab at £329 / €489

If you wanted to go larger, in LG  you would be looking at the LG 42lf580v - http://euro.richersounds.ie/p-201293-42lf580v.aspx at £429  / €624.99

One other option if you weren't set on an LG would be the Panasonic TX50as500 - http://euro.richersounds.ie/p-201293-42lf580v.aspx
which is currently selling at fantastic price while stocks last - £399 / €579 for a 50"!!!!!

Have a look at the above and let me know if you have any other queries

    regards
    Brian

Thanks for the info. That makes sense. I'll probably trade up to a bigger screen at some stage, but for now I'll probably just use one of the various media sticks in a HDMI port to do streaming.
