Houses to rent Loughrea

    Hi,

    There is a serious shortage of houses to rent in Loughrea. I am looking for a decent home for professionals (teacher and accountant)- a family.

    Does anyone know of any houses coming up for rent in the area - its utterly depressing what's out there.

    Hi GenGenie,

    There does seem to be a serious shortage at the moment. There is work underway to make the Cottage Hill estate opposite the Loughrea Hotel habitable so that should make a few extra houses available. The same is also true of a few houses in Carraig Mor next to the bypass, but obviously it will take a while for these to come onto the market.

    I'd suggest that you look at the noticeboards in Supervalu & Grace's Londis, they sometimes have info on houses for rent that people might not have paid to advertise elsewhere. Best of luck with your search :)

    We might have to settle for a house in one of the estates in town, if they are still available.

    But as an aside, its good to hear that there is some movement in building in the town. Cottage Hill estate is a terrible blight on the landscape.
