Blasting Sawtooths with their own lazers is the most fun.

Quick edit: Just took down my first Thunderjaw. This game is so amazing :D

Finished the main story earlier today, would not have liked tackling all that without the
    shield-weaver armour
, was great fun though. Not bothered 100%-ing it so moving on to Nier or Persona 5 next - big shoes to fill.

HZD was such an amazing experience - can't think of a better looking or sounding game on console - stunning. Combat was brilliant and the story very interesting and wrapped up nicely. Couldn't recommend it enough.

Has there been any mention of DLC at all?

Finished it too recently. Very enjoyable and then went back to Far Cry Primal for some bow and arrow thrills. Very average in comparison. Think I'll jack it in and try Watchdogs 2.

Finished it last night. Got platinum too, not that I was especially trying for it. Just needed the dummy one at the end after I checked.

It's a fantastic game. Nothing groundbreaking, just takes bit and bobs that we've seen other open world games and expertly fine tunes them. Innovation isn't needed to make a great game. Extremely satisfying combat too. Story is very good. Aloy is a fun, charming protagonist. Can't see this being beat as my GOTY.

    Plot/ending
Actually happy that they sequel baited at the end because I certainly wouldn't say no H:ZD2. Even happier that Sylens is being set up as a possible villain of sorts with him in control of Hades. I could listen to Lance Reddick read a phone book and be entertained. Class actor.

Finished it finally yesterday 95% trophy, missing training dummies and I think I fecked up the all allies thing
thought Aloy was a brilliant character.

    awesome game all round
I'd like to leave a personal FU to the Thunderjaw v Ravenger trial, yeah you were easy in the end but jesus

My game progress is at 35% (23 hours). What percentage would just the main and side missions come to? I'm guessing I'm about half way through?

I think with two missions left I'm at 75%

Im just a beast that wrecks through everything... might have to put the difficulty up.

Ha was it encountered at random near water under trees? Mine was, knew pretty quickly I was way too under powered to be fighting it but I was f'd if I was giving up 10 minutes in :D

No in a Desert area just after coming out of a forest south east of Meridian, along a river.

Lucky I'd bought a purple bow earlier :pac:

You should be able to replay the last mission to get the allies trophy.

I'm actually having withdrawals from this game. When i picked it up, it was either this or Yakuza 0. I loved the previous Yakuza games, so i said i'd get HZD on the off chance it wasn't what it was cracked up to be. I made the wrong decision. While i was initially glued to Yakuza 0, i've lost interest in it, and i just want to continue playing as Aloy and continue the story! I haven't been like this with a story driven game since the Legacy of Kain series!

Just finished up the story, great final mission to an amazing game.

Can you get a purple spear? I've just helped Olin out and I haven't come across a Merchant selling one yet.

On the main quest now I've to go to the top left to Markers End, I haven't done many main story missions.

Yeah, you get it as part of a main quest reward late enough in the game.

Brilliant game just finished it and pretty much all the collectables. Last few to hoover up. Graphics music etc was top notch reminded me of witcher 3 a bit. 9/10 for me

Relatively new into the game. Got stuck in a bloody cauldron last night. At the same time was cooking some rally good food. Paused the game, went out, but the heat on full "for 2 mins". Went back in and went about the biz. Passed the bit that had me stuck for an hour or so. Smelled the cooker burning. Ran out. Food ruined and pot now in the bin. Once my tantrum was finished I sat back down to continue. My finger hit the L1, I fell over the edge and was back to the facking start again. I had rarely been so angry :(

So just encountered my first Rockbreaker. They are tough! Used all my 3 bars of health plus my 12 health potions before he went down!

Just passed this mission, had a little break of the game, and I must say I didn't find it very hard, by hiding behind the rocks and throwing bombs I managed to kill it quite easily (easier then a stormbird). Just don't forget to use tear-arrows on vulnerable parts before bombs to soften it a bit :) Also precision arrow take quite a lot of health if target right area.

Just started it yesterday and the graphics are amazing. I enjoy the sneaking around the place aspect and the story line has caught my interest straight away.
It also doesnt have a difficulty level trophy which makes me very happy as I havent the time these days to try finish games on super hard levels

  • Registered Users Posts: 757 ✭✭✭Denisoftus

Its not that hard on super hard level :) try, but you'll enjoy it on any difficulty level anyway, the story is amazing, getting better as you go along. Enjoy.

Just need two more Blazing Suns to complete all the Trials.

I haven't tried the Kill Ravagers with a Thunderjaw cannon one yet. But the one where you've to loot the Shell Walker cargo box is a pain and I can't get it done.

I'm still stuck in Cauldron RHO. I'm only at level 12 and the monster is level 20. I have precision arrows, fire arrows and regular arrows along with the trip wire shooter.

Is it possible to pass as I'm getting destroyed in 10 seconds each time??

Is that the Bellowback one? Do you have any bombs you can put around the ground to soften him up?

Snapmaw and another one. I have one shock bomb

I fear I'll have to quit and start again.
