Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

United get another tricky draw, but they should have enough.

Why are some teams from pot 4 only able to go into certain groups when they are the only team from that country? Eg Dinamo Zagreb

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,837 ✭✭✭abelard

Should be managable for all the English teams tbh.

Arsenal got a tough draw with Bayern but ok otherwise.

Man Utd should come through even with tricky pot 4 draw of Wolfsburg.

    Chelsea with three beatable teams.

Man City have the toughest group, and tend to screw up in the Champion's League, but I would tip them to get through.

Think it's because the German teams were left, so they had to leave the others available for them.

Teams from each country have to be split into each half of the draw 2 each side

2 German sides where already in the 2nd part of the draw so those left had to go in the 1st part.

    All to do with tv

I meant after getting a rough first seed. If ye'd gotten Sevilla or Woflsburg as the next draws it would have been tough and a bit of a scrap for 2nd but now ye'll cruise cruise it.

See that's the problem with United fans (or someone making points on their behalf). You just don't know if they are joking half the time, as most really are delueded

There we have it, big congratulations to Marc Andre Ter Stegen who won the award for outstanding save in the Champions League last season and to Lionel Messi who won best goal of the Champions League last season and also beat off competition from Ronaldo and Suarez to win the award for player of the tournament. No ott celebrations, just a smile from the world's greatest player. Class personified.

Because Ronaldo would have ran up on stage, snatched the trophy from the hands of whoever was presenting it and took off on a big Henry-esque slide on his knees across the stage before ripping off his tux shirt and doing a Hulk impression.

Suarez would obviously have tried to eat it.

Perhaps he would have, after all it's not too long ago that Ronaldo was bellowing down the microphone after receiving an individual award.

However that isn't Messi, that isn't his style, that is not who he is. A shy, retreating smile, a laugh and he takes the trophy and leaves, that's Messi, he lets his actions on the pitch do the talking.

It really was, he had an excellent campaign as Barcelona's cup keeper that kind of went under the radar a bit.
