Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Another hat-trick for Ronaldo tonight. Might be 3 in a row when Real play Granada at the weekend.

Fair play to juve, nervous feel to the game from city supporters and team, Fernandinho the only one in their ranks to perform to his usual level, Pogba supposedly off to barca in january would be sickening for them.

4th English place looking at risk now.

The English sides really are not able for the Champions League are they......Or an alternative explanation

United were bamboozled by that shocking injury and probably underestimated PSV in the 1st place

I watched the City game and both teams played poor but two moments of magic beat them

    Hopefully Arsenal can win tomorow

We've never really taken to the competition, either as a team (as our results will confirm!) or as supporters, hence the, it has to be said, piss poor atmosphere tonight. I was over at the Watford game and it was a cracking atmosphere. It's hard to fathom why we feel the way we do about the CL. I do know that some fans feel the constant tough groups we get has a certain "whiff" about it. But we'll keep on getting them until we achieve something in the competition (q/f or better). Disappointing.

Listening to 5 Live and Pat Nevin commented on the pace of European football and how Man City couldn't handle it.

Yet, most pundits on Sky etc are always claiming that the Premier League is the quickest in the world....

They'll always promote the PL as the best as they show a good chunk of the games.

Don't believe the (Sky) hype. It may well be one of the most exciting leagues around (due to the poor technique of a lot of the players playing in it), but the best? No way. It's a long, long way behind La Liga or the Bundesliga. Even Serie A, which has been through a slump in the recent past, is once again catching up.

Get rid of Redknapp and TV3 have a decent panel.

If I was a Manchester City fan I'd be quite concerned. I think they've had a free pass in Europe for a while and that's fine. But now with the calibre of players they have and the way we know they can play, they have to be performing better.

They just seem to hit a wall as if they think they're the underdogs in some games.

They have one of the best midfields and one of the best strikers in Europe but they just look so flat.

Sevilla might cause them some serious trouble in this group if they can't impose themselves against teams like this.

Boring competition really, Barça will just walk it again this year ...

Going by last years form I would have expected Seville to City at home and get a draw away. I haven't seen them play this year but going by their poor results, the loss of Bacca and Vidal has hurt them quite a bit. It will be an interesting two tie's

And then Souness says the German league isnt great.

Go back to your deluded friends at Sky Sports Souness.

Agree a great way to watch when multiple games are on and having the European football show pundits doing it makes it work well.

No way could I listen to Gerrard, Ferdinand & Lineker like that.

Ter Stegen redefining goalkeeping yet again.

    He is useless.
He has conceded more goals this season than he did in all of last season.
