Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Barcelona should be two nil down, chicharito missing an open goal.
Barcelona are shocking tonight, far too stretched with huge distance between the defence, midfield and attack.

Barcelona have upped the tempo and scored two rapid goals.

Leverkusen were beginning to get desperate with throwing themselves at the ball. Second goal from Suarez is absolutely spectacular.

Arsenal are some laugh. Them against Bayern should be great craic!

You need character to play for Barcelona, to play for this special club you must be a special player and this team is very special. Depleted, injury-ravaged, no Messi but they've got character and they've shown it tonight. God I love this club because it is mes que un club and that's been evident here.

The gooners are leaving early. The Gunners are endangering the Prems 4th place single handed!

Incredible character for Barca to beat Bayer despite being handicapped by having 4 times the wage bill Bayer have.

Yes, incredible character and all your pretty sniping can't do anything to change that. Leverkusen are an excellent side, they played a great game tonight but this was a test of Barcelona's character, of their will to win, of their ability to adjust on the fly and they came through it in victory. You can judge it by looking at balance sheets but if you only see balance sheets then you never see football and you'll never truly understand football.

First ever win in England and it could be their first points at all.

    English teams embarrassed again tonight.
Clown college defending from Chelsea and arsenal.

Unfortunately I understand it all too well.

Every league in Europe and the champions league is pretty much decided beforehand by finance so no surprise with Barcelona having a much better selection of players due to their finances that they would beat Leverkusen.

They seem to be marketing it as the most exciting league and most competitive league now.
I'm not sure how poor football is exciting though.
As for being competitive, that's a myth too.

    Depleted ,injury ravaged ???
They were missing 2 first team regulars ,Messi and Alba at left back who came on in the second half, apart from that it was a full strength side.
Iniesta picked up an injury allright but he was very quiet before that.

Barcelona were really poor tonight bar the last 20 minutes when Leverkusen tired due to the huge effort they put in earlier.

Good to see the English clubs fail.
See what the Manchester duo can do tonight against German opposition.
Although i fear for Gladbach as UEFA sent Turpin there to referee, he ll probably be a good little boy for City.

That's probably not going to happen. Fans aren't going to switch allegiances to a different club en mass based on form alone. No matter what there is a better product across the pond with far better marketing and high profile players.

In the parthenon of all time great players there is room being made for a new addition, they know that Neymar will soon be joining them. The shining light of Barcelona and Brazil has never been better than he is right now, in the blaugrana the football world rests at his sparkling feet.

It's an away game in the group stages, his Bayern side will likely top the group quite handily and the Bayern injury list is remarkable for the sheer amount of quality players on it. Those who doubt Pep simply don't understand Pep, they can't grasp what he means to football or what he is looking to achieve, they don't deserve Pep.
