Great stuff important to keep up the winning run of 2018

Looking at some of the other warm up games, they don't look like very high scoring pitches out there. West Indies were knocked over for just 115 by UAE but still managed to win by 30 runs. Afghanistan struggled to 215 against the Dutch after been 38-5 early on before the game was washed out

Great news for Irish cricket. Lets hope that the national broadcaster can provide quality coverage for this historic sporting event next month that the game of cricket in Ireland deserves.

We just don't have the player base at the moment. Other than Stirling, the batting looks weak and the bowling will never blow sides away. The older players leaving is starting to hit now and unfortunately it may get worse before it gets better. Sticking with practically the same squad of players over a long period was always going to cause problems further down the line.

Making Wilson the new captain instead of Porterfield was a positive step. A new voice and making different decisions is welcome.

Just need to keep trying to develop cricket in this country and provide a pathway for youngsters to make it and hopefully we will be better in the future with more opportunities. We need to find and develop the future Joyce/Morgan/Stirling.

Point taken but we still shouldn't be losing to sides like Papua New Guinea, Hong Kong and Oman in competitive games - let alone Holland. Surely the alarm bells are ringing for the powers that be. A specialist T20 batting coach perhaps?

I can't see it being any harm to start blooding young players in the T20 side. We really lost the game yesterday in the middle overs when we just managed one boundary.

Next home test will be Bangladesh in 2020, followed by Zimbabwe in 2021, and New Zealand and Afghanistan in 2022. Not many of the big hitters playing a test prior to their tour of England unfortunately.

Not great news for anyone with tickets for Friday... like me.

Just caught the game while channel hopping. That's the same venue as the other day, yeah? Is there no other cricket grounds in Dublin or around the country that could have staged today's game? Share the games around a bit?
