    Hi kevin_lad,

    Thank you for your message.

Can you confirm if you are referring to Pay As You Go gas or electricity?

    Regards,

    Hi kevin_lad,

Thank you for confirming that for us.

Button 2 refers to the cost of your most recent consumption. Below is the list of what information all of the buttons on your meter provide.
    • Button 1 - how much credit remains, calculated in days
    • Button 2 - Cost of recent consumption
    • Button 3 - Current meter date and time, unit rates and number of units used
    • Button 4 - Details of previous Top Up codes
    • Button 5 - Total value of Top-Ups paid into the meter
    • Button 6 - Total electricity currently being used in the property (KWH)
    • Button 7 - Standing charges and unit rates
    • Button 8 - Details of the highest usage over the past 24 hours
    • Button 9 - Details of the total units used
    • Button 0 - Meter time & Date

You can find more information on Pay As You Go electricity here.

Do let us know if you have any other questions.

    Regards,
    Aoife

Naw sorry on screen beside where it says your credit there is a number 2 what does this stand for

    Hi kevin_lad,

Number 2 and Number 1 as you see them on the meter screen refer to the period of the day. Number 2 would be on your meter during the hours 9am to midnight and Number 1 from midnight to 9am. In the wintertime, this will go back an hour.

    I hope this helps.

    Regards,
    Aoife

Aww ok thought was the different tariffs for day time and night time units

    Hi kevin_lad,

It would appear regardless if you had a 24 hour meter or a day and night meter. If you have a day and night meter, then Number 1 would correspond with the NightSaver hours. If you have a 24 hour meter, although you will see the number change you would be charged the same rate day or night. Without looking at your account, I would not be able to advise you which you have, although if you press Button 7 you will see break down of your standing charges and unit rate. You can see here if you are being charged 24 hour or different rates for day and night.

    I hope this helps.

    Thanks,
    Aoife
