Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

What's the easiest 250+ bike to work on?

Hey -- am just throwing the feelers out, starting to consider my next bike. Bought a Tiger 800 new 2.5 years ago...not the easiest bike to work on. My next bike'll replace my 2010 Ninja 250, which is fairly easy to work on bar anything inside the engine (which is a pain to get to).

Lessons I learned from the Tiger is that "extras" are often a pain in the ass, such as fog lights, beak & heated grips: I never use these and they're a pain to put on/take off when you need to do certain work.

Looking for ideas on a light, agile, reliable, cheap-ish to run, easy to work on (including engine work) bike...preferably naked!

oil cooled bandit 600. Simple old skool reliable. Change the shock and fork spring and it should handle quite nicely.

    SV650 is simple too.

You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

The vast majority of bikes from the 90s would be easy to work on, not much electronics apart from where you want them in the ignition system.
