Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

New UPC point terrible reception

    Hi,
    We got the horizon deal installed last week....
    Phone, tv, broadband in sitting room.
    The guy put in a upstairs spare bedroom for me as I want to get multiroom in september.

    I have 3 points in total 1. In sitting room with horizon 2. In kitchen (cable goes into tv and we get 17 channels) 3. In bedroom.
    All have upc points.

    I plugged in bedroom tv yesterday with upc cable and you can't watch any of the 17 channels. :(
    If I get a upc box will I have the same problem? Did the guy do a dodgey job?
    Any ideas on how to fix it?

    OP has your TV an analogue tuner (not all do these days) and if so have you tuned the channels in (in these days of EPGs it's easy to forget that things were not so simple once upon a time)?

    The tv had the 17 channels already tuned on it as it had been in kitchen. I then "auto tuned" and still couldn't watch anything :( I then manually tuned but no joy :(
    Tv in kitchen is perfect

    Do you know where the other end of the cable is, can you see it?

    I think it's outside...as he brought it up the front of the house

    Is it connected to the UPC tap or just left hanging there? If the cable come in underground maybe its been left disconnected until you order multiroom.

    I reckon it is connected...the guy put it in because I wanted it all done in a day. He actually told me that I could just get the channels... I said I would order box anyway as can move it to kitchen etc. Also multi box just gets posted out to me and is self installing Should I ring Upc?

    Is there anything I could do myself?
    I am working all next week so can't get upc back for a while :(
