Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Player does nothing in C1C game: "Ah it's better this way, players who score midweek don't do well at the weekend."

Said player scores: "Ooooh I'm delighted I have him, it'd take a brave man not to get him in now!"

    :P

Guaranteed DGWs for two of Man City, Stoke, Everton, Southampton/Liverpool. Good for us FPLers

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 16,096 ✭✭✭✭the groutch

if Man City get to the final, they could end up having a Newcastle-Bournemouth or Newcastle-Villa DGW.

I can see it now...triple captain Aguero and he gets injured in the first 10 minutes of the first match :(

Happened two seasons ago when Dzeko racked up a monster score

Yup. Had Aguero captained for that. Remember exactly where i was and what i was doing when i saw on fotmob that he'd been subbed off. Trauma.

That was largely a reserve Hull side apparently. 7 changes from the weekend.....

    Let the rationalisation begin... ;)

I think I'll be waiting until next week to bring back De Bruyne anyway.

Will you definitely be bringing him back though? Ive got 2 fts staring at me but a serious case of Hazarditis.

If I'm getting rid of Costa after the Bournemouth game, then yes. Hazard is the one coming in this week.

This is my gut move too and I'll probably calm down and stick to it. Aguero probably next week. I have Sterling atm who is (frustratingly) playing well and imo been unlucky not to score more in FPL.

Anyone watch the City match online last night? Trying to figure out which of Silva and De Bruyne took corners.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,747 ✭✭✭Ziegler1988

Stekelenburg, Cedric, Clasie, Davis, Mane, Tadic, Wanyama, Van Dijk, Pelle, Bertrand, Caulker

Confirmed #LFC team v @SouthamptonFC: Bogdan, Randall, Skrtel, Lovren, Moreno, Can, Lucas, Allen, Lallana, Origi, Sturridge
Confirmed #LFC subs v @SouthamptonFC: Mignolet, Smith, Milner, Benteke, Firmino, Henderson, Ibe

It's better for us if Southampton win since an Everton-Liverpool final would mean a two team DGW since they play each other that weekend

Coutinho being saved for a Newcastle demolition job.

No Coutinho :( Might not chance getting him in before the weekend so.

Sturridge just broke his hand in the pre match handshakes.

    Mane goal

Sign the little bollix when he's on a great run of form and fixtures and does shag all.

Then scores 2 mins into a fupping league cup game. :(

Yeah. He's my first choice for captain this week.

Well, I'm doing marvellous for once mid-week! A nice goal from Mane with a Bertie assist and a heap of points from Deulofeu yesterday! Back to forty-odd points over the weekend then.

Anyone thinking of getting in Can? Has started nearly every game this year and should play well under Klopp. Might play too deep however to get assist and goals on a somewhat regular basis.

    moreno goal
of course he scores in the cup

Great strike from Moreno makes it 1-3

Should ensure a price rise for Morneo that goal. Liverpool fans are very keen on their own kind.

  • Registered Users Posts: 17,022 ✭✭✭✭Iused2likebusts

Moreno has been extremely unlucky not to get attacking points in recent weeks.

as he was the entire time I owned him last year
    all potential no end product
and a few price drops :(
and yet I own him again

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,830 ✭✭✭✭dahat

GW 14-20 were his cherry fixtures so hopefully he gets some now.

Don't think it will just be Liverpool fans buying him. He got 9 points last week without even getting any attacking returns. Seems to be good value this season since Klopp arrived.

Hard to see even after a few replays but would excuse Stek for what looked like a bad mistake on the goal.

Origi with a goal. Nice gol btw.

  • Registered Users Posts: 784 ✭✭✭FrClintPower

Origi hattrick, a perfect one at that.

    Southampton 1 - Liverpool 6.

    Game over.

  • Registered Users Posts: 8,747 ✭✭✭Ziegler1988

Hopefully Liverpool and Everton draw each other

    EDIT:
    Everton v Man City

    Stoke v Liverpool

things seem to be changing alright. I was waiting for a bit of evidence but 13 goals away to chelsea, city and southampton is impressive. Coutinho is firmly on my radar now;). If someone could guarantee me sturridge would play the next 5 games id get him in and leave the armband on him till the new year. Thats not going to happen though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 33,557 ✭✭✭✭CSF

Firmino is definitely coming out of my team after just 1 week with Sturridge, Benteke and Origi all adding themselves to the attacking conundrum.
